I think you need to set up an account at Starlink.com to order but it’s not mandatory to go through with the order. Once you do, you will be able to see the accessory prices. If you can’t or don’t want to submit your info at this time, just let me know and I’ll get the info for you.

The availability map will give you an idea if you’re in a waitlist region.

It looks like all the order info required and a "place order now" button are on one page. I don't see a way around it. I'm wondering if I need a proprietary mesh thingy to extend the coverage, or if my existing routers will connect. If not, I'm wondering how much a mesh node and a wall mount bracket would be.

    Thanks for looking!

It’s your house. If you’re to worried about what others think of your house, don’t invite them over.

Besides, he took all the cobwebs out and dusted for the “fake house” look.

I’ve read folks use third party routers with their Starlinks. Most prefer the flexibility with network management. I don’t though. I have the router and a couple of mesh for extended coverage. The mesh node is the same thing as the router you get with the dish.

They offer 2 different options options for wall mounts.

I’d also recommend an ethernet adapter if you have a need for hardwiring devices. I have a printer, NAS and some other devices connect via a switch connected to an adapter. Works flawlessly.

What kind of download speed are you getting with Starlink?

It’s the router to Internet that’s important..

This was a moment ago. Speeds vary with lows in the 35 mbps and highs 150+ . I’ve occasionally hit over 200.

That's not to bad for satellite. What's the Ping delay like?

I’m partially obstructed. There’s a huge pine tree across the street and I’m hoping the new neighbor will be taking it down.

That's not bad for satellite. When I had Hughes, my Ping response was usually 90+ms. Which was fine for surfing the web, but horrible for working remotely to a desktop.

I still freeze up from time to time during online meetings. It clears quickly as of late. The more satellites = more robust service.

Yea, there's no cobwebs, but the rest of that side of the basement is a friggin' disaster.

Gonna be worse when I start pulling the paneling and such... :annoyed:

I think Hughs satellites are In geostationary orbits, something around 23,000 miles above the Earth.
Starlink is MUCH lower and certainly not in a stationary orbit. It’s this distance that causes Hughes to be so laggy. Zoom in here to see the swarm.
    https://satellitemap.space/
You can enter your address and it’ll show which satellites would connect. Tons of other info like ground stations, active cells…

Good morning everyone :hattip: i hope your Monday doesn’t suck.
