    Love me a good ol’ Ugly Stick… was raised on them, and that’s all dad ever used… so it kinda stuck. Even passed it on to my son. This past year I decided to step away from my norm of Ugly spinner rods. Decided I was gonna really give baitcasters a try. So I build 2 St Croix BassX rods paired with 2 PENN Fathom reels, and 2 Abu Garcia Veritas rods paired with 2 Pflueger President XT reels. One in Medium build and one in Medium/Heavy build of each. Can’t say enough about these St Croix/PENN combos though… Would highly recommend if you’re in the market!
