Add a clamp i fixed this a week ago on my 2010 tacoma. It was loose not cracked. I bought a set of spring tention clamps the same you can find on most of the hoses under the hood. My leakstopped and the overflow stays full now.

things get hot, cold, hot, cold in the engine bay. so the plastics and rubber just gets super brittle.

i also say that there is a crack in your reservoir where the hose connects to it. so maybe time to get a new one?

i had a g37 with 75k miles on it. the reservoir was so brittle, i barely put any pressure on it and it shattered. Its just the way things are.

and final note......i am a believer that we shouldn't have to be adding coolant into our trucks. Meaning.....that once the system is full, it will expand and contract. But it shouldn't disappear. If you have to keep adding coolant every so often, that means that there is a leak. I swapped my coolant 25k ago......still at the full mark 2.5 years later.

You need zero special tools to gravity fill the radiator on a Tacoma. Unless you consider a funnel a specialty tool… similarly, it doesn’t hurt anything to turn the heater on, but it also helps nothing. The W/P ALWAYS pushes coolant through the heater core, whether you turn on the heat or not.

it’s up to you if you want to use a regular funnel. They make a large one specifically for coolant that harbor freight now sells.
It holds a lot of coolant to let you add fast, and a plug at the bottom to yank out so it goes in. I’ve done that successfully with the front end on ramps.

last time I used vacuum tool. It is easier. Turn the valve, let it do its thing, walk away do something else until it’s done. Same thing done at shops and factories these days.

I have this exact same problem on mine. Yesterday, I pulled the hose off the tank to check it out. At the top of the nipple on the tank, there's a rib around it that's a little larger diameter than the rest. I cut about 3/8" off the end of the hose and pushed it back on. I felt it go past the previously seated position, into 'new' hose real estate. I think that with thermal cycling, over time, it just gets a little tired and loose. It felt good going on. I'll keep an eye on it and report back.

I agree with you. I think my problem solved and thank you for all of the inputs to help me fixing my car.

I took a zip tie then tied it up and wola. No more dripping so I think over time, the hose expands due to heat and getting loosened. I monitored it for several days and no more dripping. Thanks guys
