Has anyone done their own ECT relocation to the shifter without a pre-purchased kit or harness? I’ve given up on the two companies I see mentioned here often as they are rarely rarely in stock, if they are, I’ve never seen them since I purchased mine 3 years ago. I think one is a called meso and taco mods. I have some molex stuff, but not the connectors.

Luna had a spa day on Saturday.
Cleaned her pores (clay bar) and then SPF'd her skin with Zaino.
Since I still haven't had the repair done from the neighbor's hit at 1937 miles, I only did cab-back to tail.
Note to self: don't go do chest/tri before setting out to clay the truck!

Nice work! How does the backlighting look at night? In the dedicated Meso Customs Volume Button Relocation thread a few folks mentioned that it's a bit uneven, particularly the volume up button. Was planning on doing the upgrade, but just curious how the lighting looks. Not a big deal, but wondering if it'd be a good idea to wait until the "next gen" comes out. TIA!

That was one of the first things I checked actually (in a dark garage). On my kit at least the color is about a 95% match to the factory lights on the other side of the steering wheel. I also did not notice any weird or uneven lighting. At least for now this is close enough for me. I might swap the board out for the factory at some point and reprogram the Maestro if I need to pull the headunit for a reason, but so far so good with this upgrade. It was too easy to put it back together with their board for testing.

Really trying to chill on the sci fi references. Allowing myself three. Here's the first two. Still need a Mystery Science Theater 3000 something or other - maybe a theater silhouette decal. Haven't decided...

Have you tried the lamin-x covers for the fog lights? That is the route I took and looks great and super one time install. Here's a link: https://lamin-x.com/toyota-tacoma-trd-2016-fog-light-covers.html

For me the easiest was to remove the fog light (going from the top of the hood and remove 1 screw) and then taking my time to install it. Saw a bunch of Youtube videos where they said to use a trim tool to tuck in the excess but I figured it would be easier to do it in my house and make sure it lined up correctly and then installing the fog lights again. Either way, super happy how they turned out.

I've used them on my Genesis coupe fog lights a long time ago. I was hoping that the stained glass paint held up better after round 2 of spraying, but I'll probably go ahead and grab a sheet of vvivid air tint or the laminx circles at some point in the future.

I'm cheap.. and I'm accumulating a list of mods/maintenance I don't feel like paying for at the moment.

    1. 1320 stiffeners. $125 ish
    2. Fog light tint. $10-15 ish
    3. Get my new tires mounted and balanced. $125 ish

All the sudden there's a couple/few hundred bucks... I'm always dragging my feet when it comes to spending money on mods I really don't need (like bed stiffeners and fog light tint).....the tires have to get done. I bought them already and my current tires are pretty shot at 52k.

    Thanks for the link.

    Just gettin’ started
Weather sealed the bed (for the eventual RSI Smartcap EVO A)

    Installed Bedrug

    IMG_6010.jpg IMG_6011.jpg

installed Truxedo Truxport that’ll do while I save up for the Smartcap

    IMG_6013.jpg IMG_6012.jpg

I dig the Bedrug. This rig will eventually get a wrap for my company so trying to chug through a few mods before that. Next up, Billstein 5100 2” lift with Icon add a leaf, and Body Armor Hiline front bumper with SmittyBilt X20.

Installed a set of Lucky Man Club seat covers off Amazon. A friend got them for his Taco and I was impressed with the fit and quality.
