    Hey guys/gals,

I just got my tax money in, and for awhile i was certain i was going to spend it on the OME kit.

however after some thinking, im starting to think that the kit isnt what i want.

if i buy the lift, then im going to want to get LR UCAs, which will put me a little over budget. Also, i dont really wheel my taco anymore. so she will pretty much be a road queen/mall crawler...or atleast until we get my wife a car..which probably wont be for a couple more years. which makes me see the OME as a waste of $$ (for now atleast).

my other option i was thinking was to just level it out with some all around 5100s. which will put me under budget, leaving me some more cash to buy other goodies (i.e. color matched 2011 grill, exhaust)

    thoughts? suggestions?

i voted that you lift it. you could just custom fab/paint your own grill, and wait on the exhaust. i dunno, just my $.02

On a serious note now, billy have a nice stable ride compared to a lift. You don't need to do UCA if you street queen it. Aftermarket UCA are for alignment and with billys you can still go into factory specs. Now if you want UCA for the bling factor than get the balljoint ones so they don't squeal like a pig everytime you turn your wheel.

I'm getting my tax return this week. Wondering what I should blow it on:rolleyes:

you confused me, UCAs are to get the alignment right on a lift around 3", not billys, which if i street queen it for awhile, then alignment is pretty important. no?

and your saying that the LR UCAs squeal?

You have it right on your OP with UCA. If LR UCA come with uniballs they will squeal over time if you don't stay up on keeping them lubed up. It's just an a bit annoying when pulling into the gas station and slow speed tight turning.

I blew mine on a big screen... but if it's a road machine, I'd just go billies and save your money for the other things you want to do with your truck.

You'll be tits! Uniballs are overkill for street. Money well spent!
