Hello, TacomaWorld; long time no see. Took a hiatus while I reallocated the mod funds elsewhere, but I'm back. Latest mod is the Teton Workshop w/ black scales shift knob. The OEM knob is starting to flake, which is pretty depressing given the fact that the truck only has just over 28.5k miles, but it is what is. I was a touch skeptical on the design as it looks like it was meant to be held similar to a flight stick, but in the first few minutes of handling it, my concerns were quickly dispelled. The knob is built solid as a rock, the mass is surprisingly nice and the design complements the interior. Like many others on here, I think this is a solid replacement for the factory knob.

I also have some other mods coming down the line... just waiting on Digital Santa to show up with my goodies.

 

Installed Cali Raised LED cat shields. Looked easy from the videos but had issues with the driver side inside cross member bolt. The exhaust hanger is in the way for a racket/socket so I had to find a box end long enough to break it free. Tightining, I had to use box ends for the front and back.



Turned out good, nice fit and quality product.

 

I did nothing. Later I found out about this specific truck charging system. But have had no problem to date.

 

Took a quick pic after I got home from work. The calipers are a subtle contrast to my black wheels which is what I am going for here.

 

Finally installed a hand me down Victory rear bumper from a good buddy that took it through the Rubicon trail thrashing and bashing!! Looks good from a distance but needs more tweaking to be more functional. I wasn’t going to install the rear lights, So I used some black metal from an old bbq and rivets to cover up inserts! Not an easy install!

 

Ordered a FJ cruiser manual tcase for my truck, and received my Martec Engineering 3 link kit for the rear. Super stoked on this, just gotta find the time to slap it all in!

 

Did this one yesterday, very happy with it.

 

The area the arrow pointing to is where you're going to want to run your wiring for the 3rd brake light on the shell.

 

I feel like a lot of people don't even realize you can adjust your headlights, and should especially if you change them or even just the bulbs just to make sure.

 

I like the side decal, had to order a set.

Made another order with TVD Vinyl. Blacked out some stuff.
The 4WD ring could have been better. I’ll just count the wrinkles as extra knurling for the knob. lol.
And added a touch of red to the engine bay.

 

How you like that TRD Performance Air Intake? I was on the fence, but did end up ordering one last night...

 

C4 cab relocation done. Steve at Total Offraod and More in Naperville, Illinois did an amazing job. No rubbing at all.

 

You’re going to want to pull that header rail off. Put a bead of caulking and reseal ends. I didn’t and that is the only place mine leaks. I also pulled the side rails. Cleaned that area. Put a strip of clear gorilla tape front to back. Seals up where the side goes over the composite bed. Will stop extra dust from coming in. Than remount rails.

 

I like it. Not sure if it provides any performance gain but I do hear more intake sound compared to the stock CAI.

 

Maybe it’s a sign you’re actually Spider-Man?
