Off-topic, but does anyone have any good ground tent recommendations?

I’d like to stay around the $200 mark with my budget. 300 would be doable.

My top contender right now is the gazelle T3X. Coleman instant set up as a low-priced fallback, but it seems like it would get pretty muggy and hot and it’s pretty basic as far as design.

Easy set up is a nice perk but not must.

The gazelle is really nice, a ton of usable space with the downside being it’s so long while broken down.

Shoulda clarified, 3-4person tent is what I’d be looking at.
I’d like to have the room for a 2 person air mattress and some other gear/stuff inside while I camp.

We absolutely love our gazelle. Granted we went huge with the t4+. That said we also have a much much smaller and compact cabellas 4-6 person I think it is. Had the cabellas for 7yrs now and it’s our backup tent and what we take on trips like the rubicon and what not. Can fit a full size air mattress and some gear/suitcases inside. The gazelle…freaking 2 bedroom apartment bigger than my old studio

I have the cheap Coleman instant and really like it. +It goes up and down super fast, roomy, ceiling air vent. -It can get warm but I'm not in it during the day, large size when it's down (ez up size).

I really enjoy my Gazelle T3X. It's extremely easy to setup and very solid, even in rain/windy situations. I've fit an air mattress inside with a little room to spare. All depends on how much gear you're talking about.

I agree with @EatSleepTacos though, only negative is its length when broken down. I've figured out a way to pack it perfectly with my camping setup so it's not unmanageable.

I'm finally going to bite the bullet and run LT after years of trying to avoid it with increasingly expensive MT setups, fighting alignment for my 35s, bashing up my cam tabs every other day only to eventually realize I really should have just gone LT to begin with.

My plan is to go all in on JD Fab. 934 axles, 2.25" LT kit, lower arm pivot, upper arm double shear kit, bypass shock mounts with 8" king 2.5 primary shocks and king 2.5 1 tube free bleed bypass as the secondary because I'm too much of a princess to listen to check valves.

What am I going to regret? What am I missing?

Upper arm/ shock tower gussets if you don't already have them.

Ah yeah good call out. I already have spindle gussets but yeah, I'll ask jdfab to just go all in on their recommended kit which I think is bypass shock mounts, upper arm double shear kit, 934's, the LT kit and the lower arm pivot.

I plan to run dual shocks with 2.5 king primary and 2.5 king 1 tube free bleeds because I'm too much of a princess to listen to check valves.

Edited my original post to save folks having to find context.

Hah, eventually! I plan to drive down to SD and have JD Fab do the install because I'm sick of dealing with the quality of work from shops up here (and I can't weld for shit)... but I beat the shit out of my truck all winter towing snowmobiles so it'll probably wait until the spring. :(
