    A few.
Ive been having an issue on my 2019 Tacoma. Currently at 84k miles. I have noticed for a while that when I have been in situations when Ive had to slam on the brakes, usually for a deer or other animal in the road , that my rear brakes/tires lockup and skid. It doesnt appear that the anti-lock feature is working in the rear for some reason. Last night I needed to hit the brakes hard for a deer and the rear tires locked up and I noticed that they stayed locked for a second or so after I let up on the brake pedal. I have never had the brake light or any other lights on the dash come on at these times.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

You are going to have some skid with aggressive braking .if it does it with light braking I would have your brakes checked by a professional. When was the last time u replaced the pads and greased components?

Possibly things might be starting to stick back there, start easy and reassess after. Take the drums apart and clean and lube where needed.

the short cut way is remove the retaining cups/springs and slip a little lube onto the shoe to backing plate contact points then reinstall your cup and spring. Moly grease with a brush is my preferred choice but i'm sure any grease there will make a difference. If there are deep groves in the backing plate then grease might not cure your issue

Yes mine skids from time to time. Between the little to no weight in the back plus the brakes being drums Ya I'd say its normal.

Shoes are original. Havent lubed anything back there so far. I actutally replaced the drums with a new set of oem's a little while ago because i thought they were out of round causing the shake when brake issue but it ended up being the front rotors. The break lock up wss there before the drums were replaced

If your axle seals are puking gear oil on your shoes they will grab like that.

You would have seen it right away if it was the case.
So what you’re saying is the rear brakes will lock and actually drag the rear wheels into a skid? The system is supposed to release the brake once it senses a skid. You should probably go somewhere remote and test it to see if it actually skids or if they’re locking and releasing like they should.
If they stay locked for the duration of a panic stop something is wrong.
