I will say, after that whole VIM box issue it's cutting better than before since I did a whole go-over again on it

 

I cannot figure out how the fuck these TRD headers fit the truck. I cannot get them to slide in from the top or bottom. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE FUCKING INSTRUCTIONS. Seriously I can’t find shit on these


Even calling TRD, “oh we don’t have it”

 

Dudes been in the backyard for a half hour like this just having an existential crisis or something

Picture of said headers? I've seen them on trucks and they have to go together entirely apart. But someone keep posting a pic of TRD headers that looks like it's half a TRD kit and half a thorley kit someone mixed up by accident.

 

Probably the squirrels more like, he's always fixated on them up in those trees

I managed to squeeze it in. Talk about a miserable design

 

Yeah, the worst part is the design is still pretty bad for headers, some super long primaries and some super short that are still smaller than the exhaust ports and nearly no thought to pulse mixing or scavenging. They're just a shiny hodgepodge of tubes that do nearly the same thing that the cast iron log did.

 

With the JBA clones I had to undo the motor mounts and lift the engine 2" to get enough clearance to put them in

 

He is probably admiring the grass in the neighbors yard...

Yeah he likes to watch all the squirrels that live up in the trees over our backyard

 

the trd headers seem to be far more even than the thorley or JBA options. my little playing around with the air shows they do indeed scavenge. (although not nearly as good as other headers... but it is there)

i paid 450 bucks for them after the 900 dollar JBA headers just didnt even remotely fit.

 

No bears tonight (yet), but someone has this giant Halloween zombie witch animatronic thing that talks and cackles at you when you walk by. Dex was freaking the fuck out over it lol

 

The thorleys don't really fit either, for a truck with a decent size engine bay and pretty small engines, getting headers on these things is a pain.
