2022 TRD Sport, 2WD, full cab. Are the fog lights H11's? Manual says H16 or H11 depending if they are wide or not.

My 2017 were H16. I switched to Diode Dynamics Elite series in Amber. Much better than any H16 replacement.

Toyota switched from H11 to H16 a few years back. Even though the manual says one or the other, the current housings with plastic lenses get really hot with H11s installed (I've tried). I wanted the extra power of the H11s so I swapped for an older set of housings with glass lenses.

Your 2022 has very low performing H16 fogs.

    The breakdown goes like this.

TRD Pro trucks - Rigid LED fogs
16-19 USA TRD OR/Sport trucks - high performance wide angle H11 TRD fogs
16+ All Canadian trucks - low performance H16 fogs
    16+ non-TRD trucks - low performance H16 fogs
All 20+ trucks - low perfomance H16 fogs

Easy cheap upgrade is to swap 16-19 H11 fogs into an H16 truck for a huge improvement in output and coverage area, often sold in the market place section for very little by those upgrading to LED fogs.

Lots of other upgrade options available, some of the best aftermarket include Diode Dynamics Elite and SS3s. Selective yellow is best for poor weather vs 6000k LED white. Most are reviewed and compared here:

Edit: and for the record they are fog lights, for use in low visibility poor weather at reduced speeds, it is a short range light to help find the edge of the roadway. Driving lights are an auxiliary high beam, for extended distance visibility in clear weather at high speed.
