2021 SR5, Canadian. I thought for sure the back window would be powered on this truck but sadly it's not. How difficult would it be to change it to powered? Probably not worth it?

In my 5 years of having a 2018 and 2022 Tacoma, I've never used the power rear window.

There’s a person out there who has never used 4x4 but that doesn’t make it worthless, either.

I’m sure you can do it but the cost will be high. The power window is sold as one unit that covers the entire back and includes the side glass. The electronics go behind the seat and are mounted against the rear wall. Plus the harness and switch. I can’t imagine it’s less than a few thousand dollars.

I've only used my power back window a few times. Usually forget to close it. Rain covered backs of seats a few days ago.

It is nice to have. I'm a windows down guy, including the rear window!

More importantly, I have had to pass long objects through that open window.

Use mine all the time too. It’s hard to explain but opening the back window when the front windows are already down or my sunroof is open seems to make the air flow through the cab smoother......it’s hard to explain......I just know it feels better...

The wiring and plugs for the power window and switch are prob already there so the cheapest route would probably be to check prices with the wrecking yards for the parts you’d need....

I’ve done that too. I find that if I don’t open it all the way, I usually notice it partly open in the rear view mirror when I park.....

My truck will remind me it is left open if I try to get out without closing it.

You guys are missing out. The airflow is very nice. As someone who has never had a vehicle that even had rear windows that opened prior to this truck, I can say having a power rear slider has been VERY nice. I wouldn't even mind a manual slider if I had a single cab and could adjust it on the fly. But it is far from worthless.

One of my favorite features on my 3rd gen. Crawl control... don't care. Power rear window, use it any time it's not raining.
