This one is good. So unsuspecting!

I always just used a small pebble under the valve stem cap, never occurred to me to use a BB with lecture. New achievement unlocked!

I bought this barely used Alpinestars suit today:

    upload_2023-9-20_21-44-57.png

Seller was 6'6" and said it was just slightly too small for him. I'm 6'3" and it fits perfectly. Super excited to try it this weekend!

Oh, I'm fat with broad shoulders, but I'm only 5'6" tall. Basically the typical fantasy dwarf build, but out of shape. Just never had the motivation/desire to be fit. Working on losing some weight now, but it's a process.

Has anyone in here ever had a bike shipped? I'm seeing some deals that are further away than I'd like to drive, but I have no idea what it would cost to ship a bike, or if it's sketchy to do so.

Nothing else needs to be said. A riders life depends on a machine operating at 100%. Anything done to it is akin to attempted murder.

I get the sentiment, and I don't mess with people's vehicles because I don't take it as a joke when somebody messes with mine, but that's a little hyperbolic.

A tire just 5lbs under inflated will lose a lot of it's contact patch traction. 5lbs will be unnoticed by a rider. That has serious legal implications for whoever fucked with his bike. DO NOT do it!!

With a cage/car maybe. But that rider goes out and the bike loses traction in a corner going 65mph and puts him into a guard rail and ICU, is it?

So to ship a bike a long distance, it usually is about .60 per mile. Obviously the pie is is different for a shorter trip (500 miles or less).
But this has just been my experience in the average. If I roll with my buddy, I pay the gas to get out there.

Thank you for that info. It at least gives me a ballpark to look at for stuff that's way far off. Sketch thing there is buying unseen, but if it were from a dealership that has a deal vs the ones closer that don't, I think I'd be ok.

My last tire mount that I hade a dealer install they did not replace the valve stems. I had a slow leak shortly after and contacted them, their reply "stems are not included." WTH why didn't you say that when you wrote the ticket. In the end they made it right and remounted the tires with new stems.

    Goodluck.

A 20 degree drop in temperature can drop tire pressures 2-4 PSI. Then think about elevation changes. Why aren't motorcyclists dying left and right in all the corners on long cross country trips with daily temp swings? Again, you are being extremely exaggerative to try and create urgency. Fire and brimstone went out of style a while ago.

I said something about my stance on that, essentially agreeing. I just think trying to doom and gloom it is unnecessary.
