Allegedly this was done by retailers by mistake. Staining all four wheels.

does this affect the structural integrity of the wheel?

I’m looking to pick it up as the tires on it are in decent shape and are much better than the set they are going to be replacing.

    TIA!

    Structural integrity? Probably not.

The castings are pretty rough under the powder coating.
Or at least they are on my truck where the coating is peeling off.

It’s really a hard to tell from the pictures.
In some ways it looks like it’s just stained the coating.
In other ways it looks like it ate the coating off?

    Or ignorance…..

I know a guy that sprayed Greased Lightning Cleaner on his polished aluminum wheels.
It took the dirt AND polish right off the wheels.

    Yeah, that guy was me.
Mothers Mag polish and a lot of work……

Thank god I’m out of that “look cool” phase of my life.

Okay, so it seems it’ll be a good move to get this set which will best having to buy brand new set of tires for upcoming inspection. This is our third vehicle that we hope to have and use for times that require it!

Welder tells the welders helper we’re going to use this dog to get these plates aligned. I’m going to put this wedge in and when I nod my head hit it with a hammer. Guess what happened next.

Find out what chemical was used. Might not be as bad as it looks.
