Can someone with an xtra cab v6 4x4 with sone mileage and stock wheels/tires tell me their front wheel gap from the top of the tire to the fender flare?

I just picked up one and it looks to me the previous owner put the wrong coil/shock combo in the front when replacing. Thanks!

I just replaced mine with the package from suspensionlifts.com, Moog 81104 coils. You generally measure from the fender to the center of the wheel (hub.) I had 20.5" before the coils, 21.5" after, it has settled in to 20" exactly.

265/70/16 tire size and I just measured from the center of the center cap to the fender flare and it was 19” exactly. Is that correct?

the front looks low to me. I know the front is lower then the rear but it doesn’t look right to me. Maybe it is. It’s about my 5th 1st gen and this is the only one that’s caught my eye on this.

I don’t need opinions with pictures, I wanted measurements. Thank you for your suggestion though!

Correct for what? If you feel it needs changed do what needs done to make you happy.

If the suspension has not been changed most pick up trucks will sit higher in the back to level out some what when loaded.

    What good does measurements do??
There are multiple combination that work perfectly fine.

What makes you think there is a problem???

This isn’t about looks, I know I can lift it or do whatever I want. The point is I’m trying to verify the front ride height is correct and the previous owner didn’t put a shock/coil combo for a 4cyl or 2wd where I have to swap them out asap

Simple picture would tell us if he got the suspension not correct. But to make it more complicated, OP rather have measurement.

We could tell you 2wd 5 lug will not fit and 4wd/prerunner are interchangeable

If you feel it is wrong then change them.

You will not be happy till you do.

2WD 4cyl doesn't make any difference. It might make a difference in stiffness.
    Ride height tells you nothing!
Lifted , sagging etc... Suspensions can be any height.

What EXACTLY is your problem and why do you believe it needs to be replaced???

This is probably why it was asked for pictures.

Asking someone to measure gap is the dumbest thing IMO. You're comparing apples to oranges even if the vehicle have stock suspension. 1 could be bad, 1 could have been recently replaced, 1 could have over 500k miles.

Lmao!!!! You must be a child!

I know it was real hard to ask for something simple - someone with a 4x4 6cyl xtra cab to measure their stock ride height!
Instead people want pics to see if they can notice the possible inch difference in the wrong spring and then going from their opinion.

If you put a 4cyl spring or a 2wd spring in a 6cyl truck or a 4x4 truck, the truck is going to sit lower. They are meant to hold different weights, common sense. Therefore, if the wrong coil springs were put in the front it’s going to sit lower. I don’t understand what you don’t understand
