    No doubt
The only thing I have ever done to someone's vehicle was duct tape on the tire
    No, no you're not

I am there with you. Its one of the reasons why I went with it.

When I was looking for an "ADV" bike my criteria were:
    • Japanese (Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki) for
      • Parts availability
      • Reliability
    • Similar HP/TQ to my old bike (honda 919 - 110hp 70ftlbs)
    • Easy maintenance
    • Proven track record
    • Good street manors as it wont get more than a few miles on a fire road here and there
    • Less miles than my current bike (so under 30k miles - the lower the better)
    • Documented issues and fixes
    • Simple enough to work on myself at home or on the road
    • PRICE
The above really boiled it down to earlier Africa twins due to or the 2nd gen Super Tenere's.

I had never ridden, sat on, or even seen one up close in person. But it checked all the boxes and I found one that was priced fantastic and I went, eh worst case scenario I bring it home dont like it and resell for a profit. Hopped on a plane then rode 1200 miles home! Tbh it was one of the best experiences of my adult life. After getting the bike how I want it, I find myself making excuses to ride it, hell most of the time I opt for the super tenere over the lil grom just to go down the street to the market!

I think what im trying to say is with any bike it really comes down to things you truly want. Make a list of necessities you want, things youd like, things youd be OK with not having.

Id also wait 3-6 months at a minimum, I think we are going to see quite a few people selling off luxury items like motorcycles in the coming months with how things are going

    Not too shabby lol.

I guess I do get paid to ride to an extent, I'm a notary so I'll ride to/from signings and I'll occasionally do document deliveries for my main job on the bike as well. Had to ride from SD to Irvine about 6 months back or so, which would have been great except it was pouring rain and I was wearing summer gear because the weather reports lied to me.

What are we considering short lol. I'm 5'9" and can't flat foot both feet simultaneously on my BMW. Don't even get me started on the YZ.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I mean my mom is 6’1 so, I consider anyone smaller than my mom short.

lol funny story...when i was buying my suit, I initially got the same size as my jackets. Was a real struggle to put on...and impossible to take off. I managed to get it just down past my shoulders, and then got stuck in it like that with my arms behind me for about 30 minutes trying to wiggle out of it until one of my roommates came home and pulled it off of me lol

    That was a humbling moment.

Oh snap!! I can see the headlines now…”man found dead in his apartment bathroom halfway out of race suit. He leaves behind is 12 year old cat ‘gixer’ and a garage full of motorcycles” lol

I mean it’s funny, but if it’s you after about 10mins not so much.

Lol in retrospect it's hilarious. In the moment, I was panicking. It only got worse as I started sweating in the suit and it started sticking, so then I couldn't pull it back up either. Saw my whole life flash before my eyes.

Try peeling off a 6mm wetsuit with your hands stiff from the cold. THAT is humbling haha

Oh i've been there many a time as well lol. Got bad enough to the point either didn't wear a wetsuit, or just didn't surf if it was too cold.

But you never need more than 4mm in San Diego. Man, I almost wanna move back. Love the winter in SD!

Very true...but i bought used and cheap and had an 8mm lmao. P sure it was an old diving wetsuit.

I had a solid couple year stretch where I went without a wetsuit entirely. only had to stop surfing for like 1-2 months due to water temp, it was great. I no longer surf now after a bad fall years back that almost took out an eye though.

You might be my spirit animal. :fistbump: That's pretty much my exact criteria and thought process. If that decked out one I posted is still around mid winter I might see if I can low ball it and get a steal. Even if I can't, I might snag it. The screaming deal and the fact that its at a consignment dealer makes me worry there's something ugly under the surface, though.

I have. About 8 years ago bought an RSV4 Factory sight unseen from a sketchy ass dude in Houston. Was a huge gamble. I think it was about $600, but here's the downside, it took forever. The cheaper it is the longer it's gonna take. With how drivers bid jobs and routes it could take a month. It worked out in the end for me, but not without some anxiety

I've owned almost 20 bikes through the years, almost all of them have some crazy story like that surrounding them. I've bought several bikes without laying eyes on them or getting to ride them first. It's all part of the adventure. I've always wanted to fly and buy a bike and ride back
