Asked @tacomission earlier, but wondering if you know if the rear windows will have the auto-down/reverse safety feature (in case a hand or something is in the way) like the front windows do with the replacement All-Up-Down switch module.

EDIT: I just tried it and it turns out the OE rear windows, at least in ours, do NOT have the auto-down safety feature like the front windows. Now I'm wondering if these new switches would add that feature or not. If not, it's a deal breaker as our pups like to stick their faces out the rear windows and, well, if the window wouldn't automatically roll back down if they got caught, that would be very, very bad.

That's one hell of a find for CL. Nice. I ended up with a Alu-Cab Contour, but I could have easily gone with a GFC and been plenty happy. I do love their translucent roof on those things. It looks really good on your taco!

 

I love the GFC topper and their wedge tent topper too. I'd buy one right away if they could figure out a way to have a pass through window though. It's literally the one thing I actually need that is stopping me.

 

Got these door sill protectors a few years ago and have been forgetting to put them on. Also going to hide my half-ass fix for door sill rust on my driver's side door sill once the paint is all dry.

Much appreciated! I just held on to the back window while I rolled it up and it just kept going up. I did the same with the front window and it stopped and reversed immediately.

 

Just ordered some 5100’s for the rear. If they arrive as Amazon says, I’ll be able to put them on this weekend. That, and fixing this front Sumo mess that I need to deal with.

Installed HDMI adaptor for the new stereo. I disconnected the charger port that was there, might install it somewhere else.

 

Is there anything truck related that doesn’t work? Where does the microphone go with this set up, for you phone..
I assume it’s Apple I play. It looks like great reviews on the install, but I’m more curious about the player, what don’t you like about it? Does it also show the stereo band and song between the speedo and tach?

It’s working excellent for me. I installed the mic in the factory location, which is in the overhead panel in the headliner. Written instructions came for the mic install, along with a little clip to hold it in the factory mic location. It uses Apple CarPlay so yes, band, song info all displayed. The big plus over the factory head unit for me is everything works via Bluetooth, including Apple Maps and navigation. I dig it so far.

I haven’t dug into all the connectivity to the trucks instruments and data like tire pressure, but I’ll report back. My assumption is they work as advertised.

 

Do you have the 360 degree panoramic cameras (front, side mirrors, and back) and is all of that functionality still there?

 

I don’t have those.

 

Is this with the JBL system or non-JBL? Have you upgraded the speakers as well?

 

made a harness and hooked up my "set up at night camp site lights"

 

I sent them an email and they replied that it was compatible with my JBL system/harness and the OEM Audio + speakers and sub that I already have installed. Of course, if it doesn’t maintain all of the factory functionality I would have been better off starting from scratch from the beginning. I sent a follow up question asking about the 360 camera view but haven’t heard back yet.
