I have three coworkers, at least that I'm aware of, who still wear masks on the job...

Whatever. If they want to wear masks, then that is their decision!

Since 2020, I have gotten into so many altercations with people over masks that I've lost count. The first one that I remember and definitely the most noteworthy, took place at the Mission BBQ in Warminster, in June 2020; Mission BBQ has NEVER enforced masks, but this was only three months after COVID really took hold in the USA, so I was wearing one. It was one of those reusable cloth masks that my mom bought me by the dozens, and my glasses kept fogging up, so I took it down below my nose for the purpose talking without fogging up glasses. The cute female cashier didn't give a shit.

A male customer in his early 20s took offense to the fact that I wasn't wearing my mask properly and decided to make it his business. He was worn twice (not so politely the second time), and would have gotten punched in the face had the general manager of the restaurant not stepped between us and kicked him out.

Those days, thankfully, seem to be long over; I tolerated mandatory employee masking at Spirit Halloween when I took a second job there in the fall of 2021, but only because I loved working there and the pay was decent. In November 2021, I went to a cars and coffee about 50 miles from my house in Elverson, PA; I went to the only eating establishment in town and didn't even go inside because there was a sign outside saying that everyone had to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. I had to use the bathroom, and luckily a sympathetic store owner a couple buildings down who didn't wear masks because of medical issues gladly let me use his bathroom.

I have not had a mask-related altercation since 2021, and I probably haven't worn one since 2022. My psychologist and my psychiatrist both work at the same practice, and my psychiatrist is one of the co-owners. The place mandated masks in the waiting room, regardless of vaccination status, until May 2023 if I remember correctly; I had stopped wearing masking up sometime in 2022, and they never gave me any shit.

Again I have a high-functioning form of autism called Aspergers Syndrome, one of my autism-related sensory issues is that I absolutely CANNOT wear a mask for extended periods of time, and I'm done with this shit; I just can't do it anymore!

I don’t care if anyone does, or doesn’t, wear a mask.
Just don’t stand next to me if you are coughing or sick and are not wearing a mask.

Medical ,especially hospital, costs are expensive.
My insurance isn’t too “good”. I can afford just enough that should I need to use my insure, they can’t charge me more than the insurance rate. A 3 night stay in the hospital would still cost me $5k out of pocket if I had to guess.

    Emergency room visits…….
Hell with that, can’t afford it.
Better hope they can fix you at an urgent care center.

I’m still gluing myself shut (cuts), and swallowing Tylenol, and hoping for the best.

Yup. I choose to in those times. It's the ones who are too stupid to keep distance etc that gall me regardless.

I wouldn't call this an "incident" because I beugrudgingly went along with it due to really needing an eye exam...

This was sometime in 2021 if I remember correctly, and I went to the eye doctor to update my prescription. Mandatory masks in the waiting room and eyewear showroom was to be expected. However, before I saw the actual optometrist, I was seen by a medical assistant or something; I was already wearing a goddamn N95 respirator with double straps, but the guy insisted that my mask had to be taped to my face because "the eye doctors were paranoid about getting COVID" or some shit. I wanted to fucking scream!

@Stitchgirl90 will proably put on the outfit for a photo shoot, and I could probably talk Colleen into it as well, but I feel like it's kinda pointless to have the same women do it again. Of all last year's zombie huntresses, one was a random woman who approached me at a car show and asked to pose with the truck while wearing the outfit; I am also gettign ready to start a second job at Home Depot so that I can make a little extra money.

My one friend Anna, who posed with the truck at my mechanic's shop last October, hasn't spoken to me in months. She is busy with grad school, but I seriously can't get ahold of her by phone or Facebook. All I am going to say that is Anna's behavior earlier this year is one of the many reasons I will not date a woman with autism, with few exceptions. Prior to Amanda, every single girl I dated was autistic; Amanda (@Stitchgirl90) has autistic traits, but was never formally diagnosed with an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)...

Sarah (b. 1993) was the first girl I seriously dated, and had Aspergers liked me; I dated her on and off throughout 2013 and then gave my friend Doug the okay to date her)
Brittany (b. 1995) is still my neighbor ~ Talk about awkward ~ and I was introduced to her by neighbor and longtime friend Ryan in March or April 2018; I dated her for maybe two months before previously unseen mental and social issues started showing up.
Rose (b. 1990) was really more of an attempt at getting laid than anything else, but she was absolutely obsessed with getting married and starting a family; I would love to get married and have kids someday, but that isn't something that I think should be discussed on second or third date! I dated Rose for maybe a month in August-September 2018, before realizing that she was not worth it...

I have told @shakerhood plenty about Rose, some of which I will not share publicly out of respect for her. The bottom line, though, is that Rose was absolutely crazy!

Rose had a plethora of mental issues and was very unpredictable, and she had been in my group of friends from about 2010 to 2012. The group then severed ties with her after an incident at my two friends' birthday party in December 2012. She reappeared briefly in 2013 when another friend of mine attempted to extend the olive branch, and almost immediately regreted it.

Rose disappeared from our lives until the summer of 2021, when I reconnected with a girl named Emily who I went to high school with. Emily was living in a house in the Poconos with Rose, Amanda (again, @Stitchgirl90), Amanda's then-fiance, and the fiance's mother. The fiance's mom was the owner of the house. Rose got kicked out of the house for punching Amanda's ex in the face during a fight, and almost immediately reached out to me...

I will say again that I only saw Rose as a friend with benefits and didn't realize how bad her mental problems were; I ultimately severed ties when it became abundantly clear that non of my longtime friends wanted anything to do with her. Emily and Rose are both the mental health equivalents of a raging dumpster fire, but if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have reconnected with Amanda! It took almost a year and a half to get my hands on Amanda after we reconnected in September 2021, by the way...

Amanda was living with four other people in a 2-bedroom/1-bathroom apartment in New Jersey, not far from @40prcnt apparently. These people included Emily, the ex and his mother, and the guy who was the primary leaseholder on the apartment. I first started talking with Amanda in September 2021, but was forced to back off when Amanda ended up in the hospital for her own personal issues and her mountain troll of an ex-fiance decided to call me up from Amanda's phone and basically threatened me. In January 2021, I reached out to her through a mutual friend and we finally got to talk again.

Her now-ex had blocked my number on her phone and she no idea how to unblock me, so we could only communicate via Facebook until our first date. Emily, who she still unfortunately lives with here in PA, went above and beyond to keep us from seeing each other; I was finally forced to drive practically to North Jersey to get a date with Amanda, and I went after going to an indoor swap meet in Allentown. Our first date was on January 21st, 2023 at a Red Robin at a mall in Rockaway. It was in the parking lot of that mall that I was finally able to fiddle around with her phone and get my number unblocked.

Yeah, just another one of life’s little BS hoops you have jump through.
I probably wouldn’t be too happy with tape stuck to my face either.

If the doctor is that paranoid, he probably should have shutdown his practice.
But, what do I know. I never went to college or got a degree.

It was actually a huge practice, with at least two locations, and it wasn't owned by one specific doctor; I refused to go in for a checkup at my primary care physician for over a year because I didn't feel like wearing a mask, I stopped wearing masks in the waiting room in 2022 in spite of the mandatory requirement to do so, and never had an issue.

90% or so of this issue is the result of my autism-related sensory issues, and the remaining 10% or so is that I really don't like being told what to do!

Actually, two different people; Rose was a legit girlfriend (even though the relationship was extremely short-lived) who I towards the end of summer 2021 and was who willing to have sex in a bed like a normal person, and Jenna was the 19-year old who wanted me bang her in a bathroom stall at the King of Prussia Mall last November even though I'd never actually met her...

Rose and Jenna are the two reasons that I will NEVER date somebody with Bipolar Disorder, EVER!

You deleted your post, I was going to reply to.

But the older I get, the more I try to stay the hell away from people.
I’ve cut out about 75% of unnecessary “problems” by staying to myself.
People have a habit of making their problems, “my problems”.
And I got tired that BS.

I am the same way in that I want a finite number of friends; I've got to a of friends and a girlfriend who is physically incapable of getting pregnant, so I am very happy!

Part of the reason that I will not do DoorDash anymore is because customers (and sometimes restaurant employees) are often entitled pricks.
