Damn that's cheap even for non-running, I bet you could flip it to a guy named Boris for profit

Sick of needing 3" tube rounds... and the shipping... need a mandrel bender but all the cheap ones only go up to 2"

Plus aren't mandrel benders upwards in the tens of thousands?

Must be nice to have such a budget for a personal tool.

If I need to drill a few dozen holes in a chassis for riv-nuts, is a stepper bit and punch my best bet?

You sure you don't just mean a manual tube bender?

Or hydraulic tube bender (which normally sits between $1-2k).

Mandrel bending utilizing some more tooling, something goes in the pipe, and it's much more precise without changing the tube's diameter as it's bent...that's what I remember when I had exhaust being bent for me on the Corvette.

    Link this $500 'mandrel' bender?

Yeah, get a nice Irwin step bit and run it at a reasonable speed and it'll go a looooooooong time

I mean ya my terminology probably is lacking... Just one that makes it smooth instead of the autozone special

Yep that's just a tube bender; mandrel is another $5-8k

Hear their dies are awesome (that's where the money is at), but they never answer the phone's and customer service is horrible

Plenty of clones of the JD that use their dies too. Like a woodward or something. I'd get a rogue if I was in the market, vertical bending wastes less space

Even the DXF plans/file on Plasma Spider can use the JD dies

I should try it one day
