That’s not anywhere near the worst Blanton’s regular single barrel price I’ve ever seen, but that’s the worst Weller SR price I’ve ever seen, by $40. And I thought even $110 was absurd. The 12 and FP is pretty normal secondary price, but that SR, WTF, over.

I took 4 bottles of EHT BP 220 otd from here. I’m still hoping when they pop up it’ll be about the same.

 

Sounds like these guys are using a random number generator to set prices.

 

Wow crazy prices, but just the fact that you can walk in and buy it off the shelf is unheard of here in Virginia.

Tradeoffs. You can either have:

a) MSRP with scarcity

or

b) Secondary prices with availability

Capitalism would tell you that the latter properly balances supply and demand. MSRP doesn’t mean much if the bottles aren’t available.

 

Very true, last time I bought a bottle of Blanton's I think I paid $60.00

 

Yea the pricing is crazy. My first bottle I got caught up in the hype and paid 130 for. Think 80-90 for the second and 60 for the third. Now 60 is as high as I'll go.

There are some msrp numbers I got 3 at 64.00 it’s usually only through major grocers . Walmart as well at times gets blantons and Weller SR

 

Maybe it's a good thing I live in Virginia. If I walked into a Walleyworld and saw Blanton's or Weller I wouldn't have enough money for Mods on my truck.

 

I knew it was in that range. I think my last one was before the 4% price hike too.

Found this guy in MD over last weekend. Good but Jeffersons kind of irritates me with their marketing / gimmicks

 

they basically bumped all Buffalo Trace 10 dollars

Lol if I met Jefferson I’d slap him, I am interested in the tropics tho, but yea basically just aged in Florida
