Worked up my contribution to Fireshare Halloween decorations last night. Soon as I fix a few small things and get one painted up I'm gonna post her up.

My wife loves Halloween so I'm thinking of using all the extra 10 gauge I have as ornaments that'll get stuck into the ground outside.

Have a bunch of nice 11" x 11" areas around where I cut out all those bed stiffeners.

 

Cutting frenzy today, mainly cause the little dude is sleeping and my wife brought me pizza; all parts were taken right off the table with no cleanup done

Cut multiple bed stiffeners to fulfill orders, both in 10 gauge and 3/16"



I like to use my own remnants to cut parts for my local orders such as motor mount and shock tabs, also 3/16"







Having too many remnants, I cut some F bombs a friend of mine requested from 12 gauge



Got back onto 1/4" and ran another set of gooseneck dies



And last but not least, got a text from another buddy who's table is still down; his CNC table went down this last Monday and he wanted to finish up his wall/board so he asked if I could cut these for him out of 16 gauge





All this was on the same set of consumables, probably time to change them out

On another note @wilcam47 got your package! Want to say if you want/need something cut that'll fit a flat rate box I have all this I need to cut out of before I toss it



There's about 9 layers of steel between 16 gauge up to 1/4"

I will be using the 12 gauge for some more bottle openers but if you can think of something, or any of you others that have bought stuff from me let me know

 

Id take an F bomb if you have extra

 

Yeah I can cut some and set aside for ya

Been wanting to maybe cut another design-style bottle opener but not sure what would be popular with a lot of people

For small parts, details must be limited as again this is all scrap so I'll be making due with the small areas I have to cut around

Damn, I wish I'd thought of that two days ago.

 

I figured it was just another china torch so I went with the cheap ass option.

So far works amazing

Yeah I've got some hours on it and no cooling issues so far

Yeah I'm sure it's a clone of somebody else's torch.

I put the included sleeve on it.

I typically only TIG on my bench in the corner of the shop but I'm still very cautious of the water lines.

If I get desperate I can swap back to my air cooled torch

Fair to say I needed to change my electrode; this was from all the cutting yesterday

 

Moisture problems or has it been in for months ?

Do you have a Hour meter to keep track of Arc time?

i went back 10 pages I did not see a answer to my Question.

Is your machine hard on consumables ?

 

Just yesterday's cuts were well over 200 pierces alone, paired with cutting 3/16", 10 gauge, and 1/4" (along with 16 gauge).

Non-stop cutting yesterday, paired with a ton of pierces, moisture did start to accumulate as my air compressor would go off to keep up with the cutting but I still managed over 500 pierces as it was the same electrode from before my VIM module failed.

Firecontrol has a run time and pierce count that you can reset manually when you change consumables.

For not being a Hypertherm as these electrodes and nozzles are $6 a pair ($3 each at $29.99 per set of 10), that's a lot of cutting on one set!
