They say if you wear a cap it makes you less noticeable in public. I doesnt make you disappear but helps a little i think

I'll forget a name before somebody finishes saying it. Just zoned right out. And then go two years calling them bub or bud or man when I see them once a week. I remember distinguishing characteristics, " are you talking about big nosed green house guy 3 streets over" i'll leave the remembering for my wife its like a steel trap in there.
She's like do you remember Stephanie you met her one time 4 years ago at that mexican place over by your moms, I just laugh

Not much of a hat person myself but I support the right of others to wear whatever hat they want.

We had a neighbor who we wanted to send something to around the holidays.

Trying to be smart about it, I told him I forgot how to spell his last name (it was a rare instance of remembering his first). He looked at me for a second and said, "You forgot how to spell Miller?" It was one of those laugh till your stomach hurts kind of laugh....

I was never a hat guy, in my youth winter hats (toboggans for the Southerners) were too warm. Wearing caps when working on machines always found me smacking the brim when I tried to get close to see something.

    ...time passes...

Some years ago I went to an auction, an all day out door affair that I managed to bring an F-250 & drive on trailers worth of junk valuable stuff home.

The next morning I said to Mrs Green "I think I sunburned the top of my head,
:confused::confused: I've never burned my head before...?

Very quietly she says "Maybe your hair isn't as thick as it used to be."

As I spend more time outdoors now I've been trying to acclimate to the hat look.

    :sorry:

I currently have maybe 30 hats; we had a yard sale many years ago and I sold roughly 80 hats. :anonymous: Most of which were free. :)

A hat must fit absolutely perfectly or it goes in the closet, dont really care too much what it looks or what it says, but it has to fit right. Cant be too tall (I see alot of older fellers wearing the extra tall hats o_O), cant be too short (there is such a thing), and most importantly...it cant be too tight.

So much this. There have been a lot of hats that I've liked but once i tried it on, it didn't fit right.

No hats for me at work but I pretty much live in one all weekend.

    My current favorite.

I keep several hats in the truck and always wear them when I'm outside or running errands.

I look a lot younger than I am too. I suppose the hat adds to the effect. The other day I got a "have a nice afternoon young man." I ain't that young, but I'll take the compliment. :D:rofl::rofl:

My favorite hats are the Indiana Jones ball caps from the Disney Parks. Curved bill, velcro strap in the back and cotton. They've been discontinued for a while, but if you know where to look for them you can find them.

Thank you @six5crèéd. Nice to have you back. Missed having the random polls.

Quite the prize pack there. I’m not sure how @Hunterdc1 and I are going to split this one up.:rofl:

I’m the same way. Stack of hats in the closet that don’t fit just right. Wife always tells me to wear a different one but I were one until it’s completely worn out. Used to not wear one but once I started having to wear glasses on a daily basis not just certain times I started wearing one. Hated when it rained with no hat and glasses.
