Saw a bumper sticker yesterday and thought of you, it made me laugh. It said “I disappointed grandma at the tattoo revival”

Took the dishwasher back to Lowe’s yesterday, it was the most pleasant return I’ve ever experienced.

This is the one we ordered.

    upload_2023-9-22_7-29-32.jpg

They didn’t have one in stock at the store, we knew that, that’s why we ordered it.

The lady said let me see what we do have and this was it.

    upload_2023-9-22_7-30-24.jpg

I said we are 30 minutes from the nearest Lowe’s, is there anything you can do? She said we can price match it to the one you bought. Fair enough, a guy pushed it out and wouldn’t let me help load it. I said that’s fine, I’ve had hernia surgery, knock yourself out

I don't know what goes on with Slowes, there is always a huge line of banged up appliances marked down.

Things do happen obviously however in industry if we have a defect that reoccurs an intelligent manager will want to track the source down and correct it.
I can't imagine walking past a dozen damaged appliances (and doing the paperwork) and not wanting to correct the problems. :notsure:

I agree, it was the same way at Home Depot the other day when we were there. I guess people just don’t care anymore. Kinda like the hydraulic pump I got :anonymous:

    It boggles my mind... :goingcrazy:

The incredible volume of damaged appliances I see there is staggering.
You would think there has to be a number cruncher at some level of the company who would care about this stuff.

In industry (realizing we can't fix the worker  ) we would probably improve the packaging.

I had posted this in my thread, I forgot to follow up here. The latest on the MC, I’m still dealing with Corporate but at l have reached the higher level and have the next step in place.

After getting blown off by the purchasing dealer I called Toyota Corporate last week and filed a complaint. The initial CS rep said she was elevating into “higher level” and I would get a call back within 48-72 hours. This was on a Thursday so I gave it extra time. As of yesterday I’ve received no call back, I’ll be calling them again today. (This was from last week and yesterday, follow up is below)

Thursday's master cylinder update, I called Toyota back and explained I had never been contacted by the “higher level” CS rep. They apologized, put me on hold for a minute, then connected me to “Andre” who will be “working with me on this to get it resolved,” we shall see…

Anyway, Andre asked me to go over my complaint with him which I did in detail, mentioning the prior master cylinder recall a couple of times, talking about the master cylinder being tied in the the stability and traction control safety system, the extremely low mileage this failure has occurred at. He asked me point blank what I was wanting from Toyota. I told him they should fix the MC as this was obviously a manufacturing defect at no cost to me. I did make the offer that I would be willing to pay a reasonable labor fee since it is out of warranty.

He told me he couldn’t make any decision at this time and the the next step Toyota would require is an inspection by a dealer service department which I've been expected. I’m set up to drop the truck off next Tuesday for the local dealership to inspect the problem and write up an invoice for the repair, I then have to send Andre the invoice and we go from there. I’ve already sent him pictures I took right after I found the leak on the floormat.

I’m hoping this is positive progress.

Good - I'm skipping out of work early today.

    Meh - It's for a doctors appointment.

Bad - I need to be fasting so I'll be at 18 hours since I last ate by the time the appointment starts.

Worst - You know that means someone is bringing donuts today.

    Great minds think alike :headbang:

These Simms hats are some of my favorites, material seems a little thicker than your typical Richardson trucker style hat. I have probably 6-8 of the Simms in varying levels of decay. My yard mowing hat is a Simms. I've been wearing hats less lately but i'll wear one at least 3x a week.

Sounds about right. It is rather disappointing that the local dealership recommended that you go someplace else. After you have resolved it I would write the owner an email detailing your experience and your disappointment. You should have been treated better, not summarily dismissed and sent away.

At work I wear a hat to keep oil and chips out of my hair. The rest of the time I don't unless my hair is particularly bad and we are leaving soon.
I have 3 TRD hats lol
