I wish I did the mirrors with the puddle lights/heat. I just did the turn signal mirrors. It adds something to the truck not a lot of other people have.

 

If you still can't get the smell out, look into an ozone machine. You can buy or rent them. I have a small one from Amazon that i've used in a few cars and rooms in houses that have smoke and pet smells and it works miracles. Just make sure to read the instructions. You just can't go into the area while it's running since it's not breathable, and then give it a couple hours to dissipate.

 

Do you have the part number for the lower seat fabric?

 

Anyone have luck removing the vinyl when it’s this bad? Method of removal?

 

Heat gun or hair dryer to loosen, peel it off and use one of these in a drill to get rid of the adhesive:

 

Took mine and had it redone professionally. A lot of people use steam to do it.

 

That won’t burn through the paint?

 

I saw a pretty genius trick for tint removal the other day that I’m wondering if it’ll work for this as well

guy cut up a black trash bag and sprayed the tint he wanted to remove with water then placed the trash bag over the tint and parked it in the sun for a little while. Tint came off with all the adhesive with no problem.

 

It's a very soft rubber, so it shouldn't. Use the drill at a low speed with light pressure and it takes the adhesive off without doing any damage:

 

Well I got my “Ark” fender well covers put on today, they are a lot thicker, and nicer than the OEM ones that’s for sure!

 

Finished restoration, including modification to allow installation of two Diode Dynamics SSC2. Went with a flat black wrinkle powder coat.
