Ok, so with all the things that I have tested and all the issues it could be, I have decided that I will tackle the immediate problem first which I have decided is spark as that I can see with both the in-line tester and in the timing light. Today I ordered the cardone distributor and it should be here Saturday. Hopefully that will at least get me drivable and then I can go after the other issues. Which would be good as now my tundra which has become my daily is throwing a code after changing battery.

Swapped out dist. With new cardone. Still have the miss and can still see the same spark disruption in the tester when reving the engine.
Wish there was a way to get the igniter tested as that would be the next thing down the line electrically.

Being repeatable but not able to diagnosed is maddening. Reseat the electrical connectors on the PCM. Push the clip down and pull the connector off and slide it on and off a few times for all connections. See if you can look into the hole that the crankshaft position sensor sits and look at the tone ring for bent or missing teeth. The camshaft position sensor is built into the distributor.

What I did not know until 2 minutes ago is that the injectors fire in pairs. Is this a helpful or not… dont know, it is something to keep in the back of your mind. If you look at the wiring for the injectors they are provided battery voltage in and the PCM grounds them to have them fire. I am thinking that if it effects 2 cylinders on the same ground path to the PCM, then it points to wiring or PCM.

    This has to be frustrating…

Quite frustrating. The firing in pairs while usefull, I do not believe applies in this case as all 4 cylinders appear to be involved. (Erratic spark and carbon fouling is on ALL cylinders.) but I will be going through and reseating all pcm connectors. I am a little uneasy though on doing so as I already have a list of connectors in the engine compartment that I now have to replace due to clips breaking off.
On a good note, we do not have any state testing here so as long as I can make this relic go I am good

Well, think I have narrowed this down. I reseated the pcm a few times but saw no difference. Today I when to put the glovebox and the cover back in and decided to reseat everything in that area. Fired the truck up to recharge battery and it’s running great except a clutch moan which is likely from sitting under the trees for the past month and a half. Going to drive it to work a few days and see how it goes
