    Hello,

I had a Magnuson (the old TRD) supercharger from URD installed in my 02 Tacoma. I got the full 7th injector kit and we are having a little trouble getting the truck running right. After some forum surfing it looks like we should have the controller programming updated for the 118° summers we have here in Phoenix. Does anyone know a shop in the Phoenix area that might be able to help?

    Thanks!
    Rich

I know you have a Haltech, but you may have some helpful resources, @1997tacomav6

    Thanks Jason,

Hey I Googled Haltech and I see one in LA but not Phx. Are they part of another shop? I've seen no response from @1997tacomav6 so they may not be active on the forum. Still open for suggestions!

    Thanks!

Have you called Gadget at URD? He usually returns calls, there aren't many folks still tuning those old 7th injector piggyback controllers anymore but he's one of them. He should be able to walk you through uploading a new tune from him remotely.

@Speedytech7 Thank you, I will give URD a try. URD wasn't overly helpful during the purchase and install (took almost 18 months just to get the kit) so I have been dragging my feet on calling them.

@1997tacomav6 Thank you as well! My question was basically how best to go about getting my new supercharger tuned, from your post and Speedytech7 it looks like the best thing to do is contact Haltech or Gadget at URD about assistance with a tune. Loading it remotely shouldnt be too much of a problem, Im a retired Software Engineer and have programmed various devices using various protocols over the years, I should be a quick learner!

    Thanks everyone!

If you want the most control and most power the haltech is definitely the way to go getting away from the stock ECU.

the remote tune is the best answer and depending can be done in 2-4 hours depending if you have issues.
It’s all about having experience in tuning and Gabe has tuned dozens and dozens of these in every situation, sea level, etc

URD does not have a kit for the 1320 yet, but will be limited anyways if and when it comes out like the current 7th injector.

You should have the R4 software that came with it, correct? You just need a Serial to USB and that software and you can easily edit the maps yourself. There is no temperature correction, so you will just be applying to the static map. Enrich fuel and pull a little timing where you are having issues. Save the base map before making any changes. Easy.
