What’s everyone’s take on mixing whiskeys?
Tonight for the first time I tried mixing whiskeys just for the hell of it. Mixed the JD B-Rye with the local T-moon(has a super Smokey flavor that’s hard drink alone) and I was surprised how well it mixed together. Will do it again.

No pics, so there’s no proof it happened, buttttt it happened.

Was at my parent’s today and when I went to my dad’s bar, I asked about this JD box he has had for years. He use to get these things (I have an old Eagle Rare wooden box I’ve posted here before) from the liquor guys when he managed a grocery store back in the day. He’s had this forever it feels like, I remember it growing up, but we don’t know the age on it. But it’s a cool metal tin with this letter and two 500ml JDs. The tin box is probably worth more than the two bottles

I'm not trying to hype it but my Wife said, "if it's good as batch 12 stagg jr go buy more."

I tried to disappoint myself but failed. I tried it on ice and it's so sweet. C923 vs stagg jr 15 much more sweet and very smooth out. I mix it into my quick lemonade/ water mix and it's phenomenal too. Read somewhere there is 15 and 17yr old bourbon mix in it. Definitely bunker extras. I'm buying a case tomorrow.

 

Good to know. When it hits here I'll stock aggressively.
