The "indirect transfer" method is not exactly unpleasant.

No i like to mix style with functionality. I just thought the original hooks were kind of cool and were similar to the '24 model. But not at that pricetag

Beauty fades (well, rusty wood chisels ARE a capital offense). I will take scarred 20-year-old ARB recovery points over the latest $40 Amazon fad anyday.

Now do you guys have quality shackles? I cant imagine the set thats $25 on Amazon with 10k+ reviews are the best quality. Especially when they come in over 10 colors hahaha

The Factor 55 hitch recovery point (HRP) is also high-test aluminum. It is VERY light compared to the steel equivalents.
(Maybe 1/4 of the weigth if that...).

How often do these get used? I have my Factor 55 HRP in a recovery bag along with a kinetic rope, soft shackles gloves, etc. They only get carried when I am up in winterland, or when going offroad. Not 100% of the time because I am unlikley to need them in town and I do not care if they are seen.

Why add more weight for a ton more $$ when you have the receiver already in place?

At $300 a pop - I wonder when we'll see some getting stolen...

Factor55 and an ARB recovery point are on my list of "I really want to for self-protection", but still hesitate because I do not go far enough into iffy territory for the $400. Even if I am not expert at recovery or even performing a recovery they allow others to safely extract me.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.

Agree. Since when did recovery points need to be brite or they don't work?! I've actually watched YouTubers try to justify the bed for them to be a brite color, sure sign the tuber knows less than they act.

If for a horrible reason I have to get one, I'd paint those freaking things black as soon as I got home. Better yet, take them off if possible.
