Model-specific MT fluid plug locations

    The photo I found with instructions for changing out the MT fluid had the drain plug on the bottom of the transmission which makes sense. My 2003 3.4l SR5 4WD does not have that. Pictured below are what I believe to be the drain plug (first photo, passenger side) and fill plug (second photo, driver side).

    Are these the right plugs? Seems like this drain location would leave a lot of old fluid in the casing.

    What might the stain in the top left of the first photo be? It's above the fill line, but could it be an MT fluid leak?

    Break loose your fill plug before the drain plug. Why? Incase you can't break loose the fill plug, you don't want to drain all your gear oil prior.
