OSRS looks like OG runescape (back when it was a browser game), but if you haven't made an account since OSRS released in 2013 you'll have to start from the beginning. I've heard you can talk with admins on discord, but any account from before the OSRS release will be on regular Runescape (RS4 I believe), which looks and feels way different.

OS or 07? I haven't played in years but there was OLD old RuneScape too.

If i can be bothered to give it a whack this winter I'll let you know :D i played back when they "transitioned" :spy: to the next generation but i could have sworn it was 3. I've been known to be wrong at times though.

Sorry, I don't like "mech" games. I'm more interested in RPG's and space/Sci-Fi games (with the occasional shooter).

Man, y'all are serious on those games....

Closest thing to games I have, is a modded Wii with SNES and Genesis games on it(glitchy), and a few regular games(Metroid and Zelda)... which I have not even plugged in in... 6 years or more?

I play OSRS which came out in 2013, I use to play the OG RS in 2006-2007. You use to have to download from Steam but Jagex came out with their own launcher. As far as I know it is Runescape or OSRS are the ones you can play now. I can also play OSRS on my tablet when I'm just grinding skills

Gotcha. Yeah this is the old school one, this is the one I played. Spent way too much time as an adolescent on that thing :D

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/maxthi...-play-old-school-runescape-on-your-phone/amp/

This is the "old old" one i was talking about. I never played it. I think i signed in and was able to walk around and such but never spent any actual time on it.

Played a lot in like 04-06 timeframe. Went back to it a handful of years ago but had to start fresh. I can try to dig up my most recent account. Loved that game

You can get all that stuff on an emulator on your pc and it won't run like a potato :D
I had a decent list of visual enhancements and QoL stuff on mine but my computer at the time was already tapping out. Still leagues better than the console experience

Yup, I played og rs circa 04-05 in my freshman/sophomore days. The nostalgia is strong seeing those screen caps

I over built my computer some time ago (5+ years) and it's still able to play newer titles. I'm still rocking SLI and two video cards.

Yea I played classic when it was original as a browser game or download game. Part of the reason I started again after I built my PC was nostalgia, not that you need anything special to run it

It's sometimes hard getting older games to run on newer hardware. There are fixes online if you look.
I had to download a mod that someone made to get Homeworld to run on newer hardware.
I have three displays and it's nice to have the game take up all three, especially space type games. A lot of games don't support it but there is a work around on some games.

That's pretty interesting, I just have a single 32" curved monitor for now. I could see the space games being fun playing basically as ultra-wide across the 3 screens. My buddy plays one but it uses VR and the airplane controls
