I had a very hard time finding a manual with a 6 ft. bed when I purchased it. A 300 mile Greyhound bus ride was involved. Is there much demand for such a rather unique Tacoma?

For the 5% of Tacoma buyers, yes.:)

    AC owners will say yes.

I work at a dealer and its a very mild no.

You limit your market with a manual and a 2 seater. Combine that with no locker in the USA makes for a small niche market.

Someone still wants it, but it takes longer to buy and sell them.

Not really. It was so hard to find because not many people want one so Toyota doesn’t make many.

Right now, not much demand. Those who want them will look for them (like you and me), but that is a small percentage of modern truck buyers.

In time, it might become in-demand and valuable to niche groups, similar to the single-cab v6 MT in the first generation. Given that the 4th generation is getting rid of not only the access cab, but also the 2 seater + MT combo, they might become sought after by some in time. But that is a long game. Who knows what people will value in 20+ years.

That, I understand. My challenge is to get access to that 5%. I figured I wasn’t a niche totaling one.

The manual part I understand. I actually use the limited hauling capacity and have needed a 6 ft bed many, many times. I know when I bought it the only 6 ft. bed in this half of the country was an access model.

The AC & MT combination was the only model I wanted. :)

    Back seat passengers are overrated.

Folks will pay extra for a manual transmission.
    I know I would.

I have only grandkids that I haul. My eight and ten year old grandsons love sporting around back there. It’s not like I bought it expecting my wife to be comfortable back there. I guess a lot of cross demand with modern Tacoma owners and Sierra lovers.

You have what fits you and that’s great, not sure what the objective is here, are you selling and seeking a market price?
