Dealer keeps calling

My internet credit score is over 9000.

Dealer don’t care if you’re the idiot who thinks paying all cash matters or some kid cashing his enlistment bonus to buy a Camaro on a 25% repo this shit next month loan.

 

That is so true when I had some long standing credit cared debt and student loans along with mortgage and auto loan my score stayed in the mid 700s even with everything paid on time. I paid off my previous auto loan and dint have one for years. Paid off the credit card and student loans, score went down. I started to buy things on no interest promos, paying them off before the promo ended instead of paying cash. I took out a rewards card from BJs because it gets 10 cents off per gallon when you pay for gas there with it, I only use it for gas and pay it in full every month. in a year I got up to 850 for a short time, now its down to like 830. but yeah they want you to continually use credit and pay regularly. Just be smart and pa little to no interest or fees.

 

be careful with that one. many of them are spoofing the caller id system with a different number to avoid the hassle you're trying to create, and only making someone else's life miserable.

my brother was a victim of that. he's a very hard working mechanic, his wife deals with the bills and kids at home. if he makes 1 call in a day, something's going wrong.

he had one guy call him in the middle of his work day while he was elbow-deep in a durango, and insist that my brother had called him first, and to never, ever call that number again. it didn't help when my brother started laughing at him and said "i didn't call you in the first place, so calling you again is the least of my problems."

 

The few Times I tried calling back id sometimes get them or get some persons VM or get number not in service.

 

I've been to the dealer many times with the 2021 Tacoma and a couple times in the 2022 for service or parts. Not once did anybody ask to trade it in. Even when the senior tech had to drive my truck and complimented how clean the truck was, nobody from sales came out. Guess I'm lucky. Did get a sales flyer a month or so from them offering me X amount for my 2021, even though it was already gone

 

Yea different models... nice to have a high score regardless.

 

It is a bunch of B.S. -
I understand Warren Buffet has no credit card and his credit score is like zero.... LOL

Regardless, I worked hard to keep a decent score and it has paid off with lower or zero interest rates on major purchases.
My credit card rates are lower than most as well.

Now I'm getting to the point with one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel I'm starting to care less about it.
I'll never buy another house or a new car so it's not that big of a deal anymore.

 

Not all dealers suck - but a good number do and are obnoxious AF.

I bought mine from a skummy AF dealership (who instantly sold my data to every other business in town). Literally 2 weeks after buying my truck they started their daily calls trying to get me to trade it in. I ended up on the phone with the owner, threatening legal action if they called me again. He promised to fully delete my contact info from their system. They stopped calling me, but I still get monthly mailings addressed to "( my first name)***DO NOT CALL***(my last name)"

I laugh every month as I throw it away.

 

I had four girls and now haw 9 grandchildren.
