Does the 2000 4Runner steering column cover fit a 2000 tacoma? I want to swap mine over to black, but it only came in the 4Runner, so just curious.

it looks like it does, but just double-checking. Has anyone else done it?

Maybe because the title is so vague, people clicked the thread thinking they could help answer only to find out they couldn't.

Could you really blame anyone for the views if your title lends itself to clickbait?

Just buy the part and report back. Would've been way simpler. :burp:

Or, if you're really short on cash just remove yours and ask the seller to take pictures of theirs to compare.

Judging from my old pictures, it looks like a good possibility.

Because the 61 of us don't need to change it to black.

Buy it, try it. Only way to find out for yourself

That too. It'll be faster and easier IMO. Black electrical tape and a hammer will fix everything

You can paint what you have. Wipe it down with alcohol, go over it very lightly with grey scotch brite, alcohol wipe down again, a light coat of adhesion promoter then paint a couple coats. Appropriate sealer coat after the paint has dried. Worked very well on my sun faded top section. Used rustoleum adhesion promoter.

I have one of these sitting on my bench at home. Haven't installed yet but it looks identical by visual inspection. I think mine was $20 off ebay so not a expensive experiment.
