You do know that with ABS you DO NOT pump the brakes. Firm Steady pressure on the pedal and it will do it's thing. When you pump the brakes you are turning the system on,off,on,off, on,off. Then people piss and moan that the ABS didn't work. Read up....It's quiet an interesting device.

    Happy sliding...

That's very true.......usually! The Tacoma's ABS just SUCKS!!

My wife's Jetta is pretty amazing. You can slam an the brackes in water or snow and it tracks perfectly and stops pretty quick.

It seems like the pulse time is way to slow in the Tacoma - it "slides" too much before stopping, and not very straight either. I really feel like I would do better without it.

    Just my .02.

Hey neighbor  I'll be in Buffalo on Christmas eve to see family and eat, throw a honking party, I hope it's not too bad, otherwise I'll be homebound.

I have never seen one of those. Two seconds during yesterday's storm and you would be low-siding it then the person behind you would think your a speed bump.

We got a foot, calling for another foot on Sunday. Waiting now or the trails to get groomed. :bananadance:

I woke up to a little more snow this morning and just got in from shoveling. We didn't get the 6 inches they predicted. This is what we got...

Up Here in Saratoga country we are getting a good amount of snow, in fact it hasn't stopped since it started Yesterday. They are saying another 5-10 inches tomorrow on top of the 12+ we have gotten so far. The Taco has been doing very good in the snow, I think my biggest limiting factor are the crappy dunflop tires - they suck. Even with the crappy tires I'm still feeling confident in the deep snow. Just thinking about how good a set of BFG All Terrain's would feel.

Dont hog it all...send some to the east coast of Virginia. I would enjoy driving the taco around on snow covered roads not to mention I would love to hunt at least one day in the snow before the season goes out. We could use a little this way?

I love driving around in the snow, especially all the backroads around my house that aren't acessible by plow, but are by toyota! Will be meandering around today with the boys probably pulling out a lot of chevys and fords
