The old truck looked great not sure why you traded it. I probably would have waited for the 24s to hit. The days of not buying a vehicle the first year are long gone. Manufacturing quality control is pretty solid these days.

The old truck looked like new! It pays to take care of your vehicles.

yeah, at 250k, I would've moved on too. I am sure it will serve someone just fine, but it seems you have the means for a newer vehicle you won't need to repair as often.

My compliments on the manner in which you maintain your vehicle's appearance. It looks like it came off the showroom floor. As to the Pro, I am certain you will love it. I have had mine a little over a year. Bought my first Toyota, an SR5 V6, in 1990 and never looked back.

    Congratulations!

It came that way. My wife has a lime rush pro 4 runner…it wasn’t on hers. She likes it…I think it may help with glare, but it’s fine.

    Thanks
My son has a 2002 Tacoma (TRD OR). My closest friend bought it new and sold it to my son during his high school years (he’s a junior in college now). Great trucks. I’ve had a lot of Toyotas and Lexus over the years….with the exception of towing (horses) vehicles they have served us well.

Perhaps…the days are long gone, but I’m a creature of habit. I drive SO much (60-70k per year ), it wasn’t worth taking a chance on having a repair or on a new model. Bottom line is I liked my 3rd Gen and something better vs newer (model/ gen) wasn’t a necessity.

18k…we’re in TN so that amount reduced my taxable amount on the new truck.

That’s the reason…I’ll still go to the dealership for service every 4500-4800 miles.

    A few.
There were no problems with the Cavalry Blue paint. It was the darker blue that came before it that had some peeling issues on some trucks.

The 2022 Tundra directly contradicts this.

I think you did well, but I might be biased. I traded my Cavalry Blue Tundra for a Solar Octane Tacoma last year and I love it. If you already loved the 3rd gen Taco, I think you'll be happy for years to come.

Now that’s the way to take care of a vehicle . Just the fact that you service it so often will net you lots of trouble free miles . It pays off in the long run . No matter what the manual says .

Nice color.....Looks just like mine. Had it for almost a year and it still has less the 6000 miles.
