Yep, got the machine torch at the same time I ordered my table which was last year so the Hypertherm variant wasn't out yet.

I don't see cut quality being much different (posted by many on the group) but I do know that the difference lies in the consumables as Hypertherm has way better consumables and the cup shield doesn't get gummed up by the water like the PTM-60 does.

When I have an extra $400 bucks I may buy one just to see what all the fuss is about.

Damn near anyone as it's hard to make a bad headunit

Kenwood and JVC are the same for whatever that's worth

I wouldn't spend more than $200 on one and that'd have to include android auto/carplay

Kenwood's have some of the worst noise on their built in amplification circuitry IMO, think Tyler has been fighting with his for like 4 years cause the screens die too.

Dude it's so bad; people dying due to accidental exposure

There was a nursery where they were distributing drugs in some cellar or some shit I forget what it was...but last I heard a 3 year old died and others were rushed to the hospital as some workers didn't even know about the operation

    Hence "whatever that's worth"

They were awesome back in the day of their Excelon setups when they utilized time alignment and more, as well as high-current preamp outputs

    Nowadays, it's all Chinese

An old school Nakamichi would be the shit

Oof that's awful. Here it seems to be solving "the homeless problem" as much as it's creating it. It's bad shit.

I dunno what they did, they used to be really good. I had a 2008 Excelon headunit in the grey truck and it sounded excellent. The 2017 and newer are just hot trash, can hear VFD circuitry and the noise floor is high.

There was a case up in the northeast a few weeks back where a 1 year old at a daycare died after fentanyl exposure and a few other kids were hospitalized....they did an investigation and found bricks of it packed under the floorboards where the kids were playing, owners were part of a smuggling operation. Fucked up
