Here in the city that can get me in trouble…so if and when necessary I just quietly hand over my license, registration, and conceal carry permit…wink wink nod nod. Thank you Mr Ziegler, have a nice day.

Arizona is a constitutional carry state so we have to immediately tell the cop that makes contact. I had a ccw but let it expire. If I plan on doing any travel to a state with reciprocity I'll just go get another ccw. Usually a short class and a set of finger prints. What makes it nice is buying a firearm. Less paperwork.

I keep saying that I’m going to take the classes to get an Utah permit but never have. The last time I considered it, it had the most reciprocity.

Most neighboring states have it but you still have to know the fine print. When mine was valid I did a few trips to Central Texas so I was covered without raising too many eyebrows.

Yeah. Fine print is critical. We travel to Colorado almost every year. Idaho and Utah are generally no problem but technically I have to lock it up while driving through the NE corner of Oregon. Colorado doesn’t recognize Washington either because we don’t recognize theirs…luckily where we stay is only 10 miles from the Utah border.

I'll probably get another ccw when I start going up to Idaho a couple weeks per year in summer. Not sure about Nevada but will have to cut across some part, just on the edge of Oregon. I'm still tinkering with a lock box idea for the Tacoma. I need one anyway just for certain occasions (like going into the bank to make deposits). I've seen guys carry into the bank but that raises too many eyebrows. Here you can't drive through a school zone without a ccw (and there's one right down the street from my bank). Definitely less restrictions having one.

Good morning. It's a misty start to the day. Hopefully we we will see the sun around here today. It's been a while thanks to Ophelia.
