Does anyone use a Catstrap catalytic converter protector? Does anyone have an alternative? Is there a MacGyver mod like the hose clamp for tailgate theft prevention?

I have a Talons Garage cat shield. It is 1/4 inch thick aluminum, so fairly light but sturdy.

I went aluminum because I live in the rust belt and didn’t want to deal with a steel plate rusting under the truck.

If you live in a rust free area, you can save some money by going with steel.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
I've seen people weld a piece of chain from the cat to the truck frame.

Yeah as an alternative. Tons of people here have the caliraised stainless steel covers. The 3rd iteration appears to be great. Mine are 1st gen and are a bit prototypie but work fine.
