I have health issues and need these on every truck. I particularly like the door ding protection. I put new black ones on my 2012 and my 2008 still has the dated stock chrome ones. Eventually I will replace those with new black ones.

With 87k on my 2008 I calculated that, based on my retirement driving habits, it might hit 120k miles in 22 more years when I am 87 years old. My truck will still be around for my great grandkids to drive.

Was having some overheating issues a few weeks ago on the trail so did some upgrades. "Big 7" 1/0ga cable kit, biggest Odyssey battery you can fit in this beeyatch 31-2150, JS Alternators 250a, Dual Spal fan conversion controlled by Derale PWM controller, added hood vents to help with underhood temps, and Raptor style grill with leds disconnected . Also relocated S/C intercooler further forward away from the ac condenser and added a 5.2" spal fan to the trans cooler. Cruises around town between 175 and 185F all day in 97deg weather. Goes no higher than 195F on the highway and AC stays cold at idle. Should've done this mod sooner.

Yeah. Post it on here. Maybe switching the hardware out would make me like it more.

Last picture didn’t load but I would definitely be interested in more pics of your setup and how you moved the intercooler. Also did those fans come with the shroud? If you have a link to the stuff you used that would be cool!

Try it again, I was trying to edit one of the pics at the same time. The shroud was separate from Speedway motors. The width was just right but height was about 4" short so I added aluminum to the bottom with pass through vents. Works perfect. As far as relocating the intercooler it took some brainstorming but it's doable. L brackets on the bottom and longer mounting bolts up top. Here are some pics

Washed the arms with dish soap to remove all the dirt. Then gave them a light scuff with some 400 grit wet sand paper. Cleaned up again with some alcohol, and sprayed away.

Very nice, good work there! My lingenfelter fan controller is finally acting up so I think I am going to replace it and go a different route. Perfect timing on your post haha
