Cheapest (OEM) compatible sun visor w/ mirror & extendable

Looking for a sun visor with built-in mirror that is extendable (to cover sun in window if need be -- either with the extra plastic flap or the one that extends along the arm) for 2018 SR.

I do *not* care about it being lighted and would prefer it not be so I don't have to mess with wiring.

I've seen some knockoff OEM-style ones that are pretty cheap with mirror but I can't tell if they extend or not. I've also been researching compatible mirrors from RAV4, etc.

Anyone mind saving me the headache and just sharing a part number?

 

Check Amazon, my wife has a tendency to destroy things in my vehicles including the visors. On recent RV trip she somehow managed to pull away one side of the passenger seat base on my 2016 Ford E-350 cutaway van. "It's to be expected"

 

I've found some compatible with mirror on there but I haven't been able to verify whether or not they're extendable for window sun coverage which I definitely want. Guess I could just bite the bullet and return if need be.

 

And now that I'm narrowing down the Amazon stuff: Everything I'm seeing is listing only 2nd Gen years as compatible. Can anyone confirm if 2nd/3rd gen bolt patterns are different?

You are able to search by specific year for results. I bet what you are looking for is there.

 

That's what I'm saying: Search for "Tacoma sun visor" and there are tons of options. When I specify fit for 3rd gen Tacoma from "my garage" there's nothing listed.

 

look on ebay. I bought OEM ones for 20-30 each.

 

I'll keep an eye out. I was running into the same thing there as Amazon: The cheap knockoffs only specify fitting 2nd gen years. The used OEM prices are nuts... 125 per side w/ mirror and lights (which I don't care about), and 60ish for no mirror (which I want mirror).

That's why I was hoping someone might have a heads up on a compatible part number from another vehicle... I'm starting to think maybe there isn't a 3rd gen unlit mirror visor.

 

Have you checked with any junk yards? Some of the higher trim levels will have it. I know the TRDOR has the one that slides along the arm.

 

Local junk yard told me no 3rd gen tacos on site.

 

Also, since no one gave you the part number, I found this. It seems it is the same for all of them. Are you sure yours doesn't slide along the bar?

Appreciate it. Looking for my girlfriend's 2018 SR. Might end up just going full-throttle and doing the wiring for the visor swap... I've dug up quite a few other threads where people are just trying to get simple unlit mirrors for the SR.. haven't found a solid answer though.

 

To be fair, you can have the lighted version and just not wire them up too.
