Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area ... exit 156 inside California on I-8 ...

For the record ... you WILL see them from the freeway. Whether you spend time on the dunes is your choice.

Hmmm... good to know. I feel like anything I don't plan 6 months in advance or wasn't vetted via the wife isn't happening these days anyway. lol

Approval is far from the concern. The ball and chain probably couldn't care less - It's organization and maintaining a calendar that I struggle with. :anonymous: She'll know about plans we have to visit my family back in Georgia before I do. lol. I just do as I'm told these days so that I'm not late to anything.

Won't see me miss lubing up the truck or the guns, though. That schedule is both timely and consistent lol.

Last few question before I pull the trigger, About how loud is it running at night? Do you have it close, mounted in the bed or on a rack?
An example of the noise like a small honda generator running kinda noise?

It's a whir/fan noise, maybe like a mapp gas torch. I am pulling a Hiker trailer with hard walls so noise isn't bad inside the camper, sitting on the ground. Couldn't really say if it would bother me in a tent. But then again, at 9pm, my body says it's time to sleep, my head hits the pillow and I am out. My wife watched me, and told me I was disgusting - falling asleep in 90 seconds while she was watching me! 5 am - without alarm I am waking up. Cursed/Blessed - dunno, but sleep is easy.
