Hi Im new to the truck community but excited to get involved in the modding scene! Been in with the BMW community for awhile and know a decent amount about fitment with those rims and tires.

I fell in love with these Black Rhino Rapid rims and would love to get the proper fit for my 2021 TRD Sport Tacoma. I am planning on doing a light lift in the future but nothing too aggressive and want to put A/T tires on them mostly for city and commute use but for the occasional off roading adventure (Wisconsin).

so will these 17.0 x 9.0 with a 12mm offset work? will they push the rims a little outside the well or what size spacer would i need for that. and what size tire should I go with?

    Thanks!Screenshot 2023-09-26 at 8.36.17 PM.png

12mm offset will push the wheels further in. I would stick with a 0 offset for slight poke without too much rubbing/modification. I have black rhinos 17x8 with 0 offset and they fit perfectly.

Sweet thanks for the help! What size tires do you have on them?

@Triple88 a 9inch wheel with a +12 pokes the same amount as an 8inch with a 0 offset. Factory is a 7.5 with a 30mm offset. 265/70R17 would be solid before your lift and 285/70R17 after. That's a fantastic looking wheel also.

Awesome so same amount of sticking out of the well with both rims. Will the 265/70R17 tire be fine on both rims and not over stretched on the 9in? Also the only other size in that rim i can find is the 17x8.5 with 0 offset. seems like a better option, how would that compare with stock and with the 265/70R17?

@Triple88 absolutely a 265/70R17 requires a 6.5-9 width. That would be a solid option. Here is the factory compared to the 8.5.

Had to go with the 9inch rims, I ended up buying the 265/70R17 cooper AT3 4s from you guys but can I go wider to have more sidewall or protecting the rim? but still keep the same height so that I dont have to modify the suspension or wheel well? 275? I dont want to stretch it out to much where the wheel lip sticks out

@Triple88 thank you for your business, we appreciate your support. Going with a 275/70R17 would increase your width and height. Without mods it would rub.
