Truck driver b.s.

We might get more Thursday, slight chance everyday though.

 

Well, my regular truck is probably gone again for a month...yesterday, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and shut down. Got a message that the 'unit needed service soon or may result in a tow'. Said that there was a 'leak or blockage in the exhaust or post treatment systems that would likely not be cleared by a parked regen. Please try a parked regen as soon as possible'. It wouldn't respond to a forced regen. It shut down 4 times in the 20 miles back to the yard. (Office wanted it driven back in if possible, rather than a tow)

Wrote it up when I got back, evening supervisor says: well, it's scheduled to go to Milwaukee tonight for service. My response: it'll never make it...didn't you hear the part where it won't go more than 5 miles without shutting down? (Milwaukee is about 110 miles from us)

 

None in sight for us just 71* today.

Or how about now, I'm broke down in the yard waiting for a service truck for my penske rental.
Every truck driver I see is on their phone reading or watching something when their not driving.
