    We should really be wearing helmets even though were not caged. Some think its badluck, for me, i never bring one because i dont want to be the only fucker wearing one :eek:. But when your reaching 45-50+ in the dirt, a roll could be real bad. even a slow one

    Yeah i like the idea of a hand held, plus i will get an external antenna for it as well fo more range. I found the HRO(Ham Radio Outlet) here in San diego. They have the IC-V80/e for $99.95:D

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    after you get the radio, try to search online and see if there is an unlock mod so that you can transmit on the race frequencies... otherwise, you will be able to hear us, but won't be able to talk to us...

    on the mobile in car radios, there is a diode you have to disconnect in order to unlock the radio, but i have no idea if the handhelds have the same restriction...

    oh, and make sure you pull the right one or you will end up buying a new radio...

    set your radio to 151.625 then click on the transmit button... if your readout screen says CLOSED or LOCKED or anything to that effect, then you have to mod...

    if it looks like it's transmitting on the frequency, you should be good...

    The things required to pull bitches
    Hand held ones are sweet but I would get a mobile one first before the handheld. Handhelds run at around 5 watts, which means the range is around 5 miles or less. The higher the frequency the less range it'll have too.
