So I have a 2003 Sr5 DC. It has the TRD supercharger and 7th injector. Does anyone recognize this plug?

That plug looks identical to some aftermarket radio setups....

I could be way off, but it just struck me as something familiar.

    You got a piggyback system?

    @Speedytech7 might chime in

Probably attached to the stereo. I had the 7th injector setup and didn't have that connector anywhere.

Hard to tell from the pic, but that looks like an old iphone charger... almost forgot how big they used to be

Thanks lol. I guess it was wishful thinking on my part that it had something to do with my 7th injector unit. I dug further and found my trd 7th injector box. The TRD unit isn't tunable is it?

Googled this to confirm, the older iPhones used a 30 pin connector. The one in that image looks larger than 30, but I can’t find anything about 40 pin iPhone cables.

It does look like it’s a charging cable/network adapter type of thing, but I don’t think it’s iPhone

    It's a piggyback.

You need a stand-alone like a Haltech for any tuning.

It's why I mentioned 'aftermarket radio'

I forget what time-frame as I had aftermarket radios in almost all my vehicles, but I never owned an iPhone (never will)

Had an old iPod in a few of them though and that's how the cable plug end looked like

It could be an apple charger. Hard to tell from pic. But to me it looks a little large. Or maybe it’s just the fog of old technology.

If OP cares enough, compare it to an old apple charger.

That is 110% a 30-pin Apple cable as others have said. Aftermarket cables at that time were usually gigantic & bulky. If you kept the existing head unit, you can get a 30-pin to lightning (small reversible iPhone charger) adapter to utilize it. Although, older head units only provide 500mA of power via USB (be there an actual detachable cable or not) 99% of the time which was fine for iPods & your iPhone 3G in 2008, but now struggles to positively exceed the draw of modern devices, so I wouldn't really recommend it.

I still have my old 30 pin to firewire from my first iPod in the box of cables I am supposed to keep just in case.

I still got an old iPod Nano that uses the 30 pin charger. Thing ran like a champ last time I used it.

I still have my 1st gen Nano loaded up with all my music from jr high... still works, I'm tempted to wipe and continue to use it but at this point I think it's going to remain a time capsule. Scrolling through a bunch of punk rock using the old touch wheel brings back too many memories... I miss that parachute game. Probably would be considered "violent" and promoting violence these days :(

Fun fact: Original iPod is older than a good number of members on this forum.

I'm not old yet... but old enough to double take whenever I see the "you must be born after this date" signs at the gas station. I have to look outside to make sure I didn't pull in going 88 mph in a modified Delorean...

Shit man… that thing is old enough to vote.

How do I know I’m getting old? I look at women walking around with children and find them more attractive than the 17 y/o’s who think it’s cool to walk around with barely any damn clothes on.

    Now get off my lawn!

What is this thread about again? Did we help OP?
