Dak is a 6th round pick and plays as such. He’s good but you’ve got to structure your offense around his skill set. He’s never gonna be a Mahomes or the like. Dallas has failed to do that consistently. When they do, we win or come damn close. When they don’t, we lose.

I also was unaware until 4:25 that we literally had one starting lineman playing and three of the five were taking their first nfl snap in their career. That makes a massive difference too unfortunately

 

It’s just one loss and given the injuries an understandable one. I think those injuries contributed to the lack of finished drives but not the int and they were able to move the ball otherwise. Red zone offense is a telling stat and while the Cowboys offense stomped the Giants in the second half of that game it was the defense that put them 2 scores up early but nobody mentioned that when touting their offensive prowess before this game. Dallas has a much better team than most so I don’t see them missing the playoffs and at that point anything can happen. I just like to rag on them being America’s team and all that going back to the Staubach days. If they weren’t any good it wouldn’t be as much fun to watch them lose. That would be like watching the Raiders.

 

I love when every offensive play call is only intended to get 3 yards.

Lot of truth here. Talk about Brady's 6 rings in New England but many forget (even people from here) that those earlier ones he wasn't the same guy. More of a Trent Dilfer who mostly had to not fuck up. While not the Bears or Ravens defenses of years past we also had a pretty stout squad on that side of the ball.

If people remember Joba Chamberlain in baseball (NYY pitcher)..I almost wonder if Jimmy couldn't have been better if not for being babied/benchwarming for so long in a similar way Joba never lived up to press clippings.

 

There’s also who your competition is. The 80’s were pretty stacked, Kelly, Andersen, Fouts, Esiason, Moon, McMahon, Williams, Elway, Marino, Montana, Young, Sims, Aikman, Ripien, Theisman, Plunkett, plus even more from that era and every team had a different set of talented players around them. Nobody wins alone.

 

Not all on Russ, Vance Joseph sucks too. I am so glad the Cards fired him. It is baffling how you get fired from the Broncos as the HC and then go back as the DC lol. Wilson definitely isn't helping them. Dolphins back ups scored 21 points vs the Broncos starters 20 points. You can't sat Wilson is helping them lol. It is not all on Wilson, but if the Offense could actually stay on the field, the Dolphins wouldn't have put up 70 points. If VJ's defense could top a flag football team, that would have also helped.

I appreciate your comment on the Eagles. That said, Dallas is an upper echelon team, they had a bad day against Arizona which surprised me because Jonathan Ganon is a moron!

New NFL power rankings have Broncos #31 and Bears #32. They play this week. Is anyone other than Caleb Williams going to watch it?

 

I think he’s a keeper. Niners only let him go reluctantly. On that team he should keep doing very well.
