I run studded Hakka’s in the winter in CO. They go on at the first snowstorm and come off at the last snowstorm. If you were to run these year-round on pavement and dirt, they wouldn’t last more than 6 months at most. These tires are exceptionally soft because they need to remain flexible at low temperatures to keep grip on ice—remember that these tires were built for Nordic winters. If you subject them to high temperatures and rough terrain, the tread will melt and shear.

With that out of the way, if you can run these in winter, nothing will stop you. I can traverse mountain passes with confidence so long as the snow doesn’t get higher than the bumper. The 4WD system of the Taco, coupled with some weight in the bed, and proper winter tires make the truck a force to be reckoned with in wintery conditions.

Without starting a new thread. Ill put what I want to do to my Tacoma right now. Ive searched and weirdly not found anything. So I know it is here I just dont know the right search words. What I want to do is add a "Roll bar/Sport Bar/Light bar" not sure what to call it.. but it is a bar that attaches to my truckbed and I put lights on top. so I have the OEM stock tri fold metal bed cover and I want that to stay. Id like something like this. sportbar.png

I got on with support. They said Id have to cut it a little. Would be good to see a thread with this.

But here is the bigger thing. How do I run electrical to it? Is there a thread to that? I installed a redarc trailer switch so I can probably do that with a light bar switch. How do you run the power to this light? Always wanted a truck with a lightbar.. and Ill get it damn it. :)

Started the lift process with 5100s in the back. Took off the Sumo springs for now. Truck rides so much better.
I could literally put all of my weight on the breaker bar when I took the lug nuts off. Thank you, Toyota dealer. Took all off and put back on with correct torque amount. 1 last free oil change left at the dealer. Will be doing it myself from that point on.

Although primarily a male audience exists in this forum, we do have females here that can mod their trucks as well or better than most of us (certainly me). And they have some pretty cool ideas I'd never think of if they didn't share.
Not a mod, not a prude, not offended, not afraid to poke fun, and not going to go all PC. Just raising awareness that if we up the respect a notch we might get to see more ideas big and small.

Totally agree. I'm no prude but vulgarness and gutter talk has no place here.

Well, I FINALLY got my truck back from the body shop (It's been there for over a month), and they put the wrong taillight in, and the rear bumper wasn't even straight.. I just can't.. I'm certainly happy to have my truck back, but I'm very disappointed that it's not right. o_O

research tire rack on feedback from real world users, they also have handling characteristics in graph form based on user feedback. Some of the feedback is in the thousands.

typically tires with those narrow serrated sipes are winter tires, and they wear quickly when ran on hard roads in the summer, hence the reason many forum users change them over to AT’s in the summertime.

here is north central pa the snow is more often a wet slippery snow, rather than the dry quick accumulating powder snow that typically falls out west. I’ve hade good year round use with Kumho’s. I’m 45 minutes from Walmart and last one to see a plow.
This summer I broke down for a set of Michelins, mostly because of the tread mileage warranty, and user feedback from tire rack. We’ll see how they fare against the kumhos

New tires this morning, I’ve only owned wildpeaks on my Tacoma and 4tunner and decided to try Ko2s because I got a great deal on them and they were in stock.

you need to turn around and have them make it right or do it yourself, always do a thorough walk around before leaving any shop, body shops require more time, from many angles

They ordered the correct taillight while I was there. It's going to be here on Friday. They will install the taillight and fix the bumper when the part arrives. I've been paying out of pocket for my rental car since the 12th of September and I needed my truck back for a home repair I've been putting off. I most definitely did a thorough walk around (several times). The actual body work looks good.

I got these from a seller in Japan. It took a while for them to arrive. Test fitting them today to see how they look before moving forward with the installation.

I was going to go with the OEM Lexus IS350 metal pedal pads but found out I need to replace the whole gas pedal assembly in order to add the metal pad.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
Now Now, the gals can put most guys to shame in the "gutter talk, vulgarness, and just plane rude" department.
I've heard it myself, It's the OTHER differences that make the gals special!
