Wisconsin area events- THIS WEEKEND: kayak camping.

I wish I could go this weekend, and next weekend!

I'm getting anxious also. But, I actually had the opposite situation where I just realized it was only a week away!

Come camp up on the Chippewa with me this weekend.

 

I would but for the deck project... The rain earlier this week put me behind. It's getting close to done though!

 

I never unloaded from last weekend so I am ready too. Might wash it though... pretty dirty.

This is one of the good things about my job. I just call the office and tell them what dates I will be gone, and they put it on the calendar. I even got them to give me a full month this January so I could help with the house in Florida.

I have had jobs in the past where you had to put in a request, which was annoying. But, certain jobs probably need more notice in case they need to get someone to cover for you, or for scheduling appointments.

 

Same situation. I did put out the tent to dry when I got back, but it’s been raining ever since lol.

Gotta rotate the tires before the trip, and maybe an oil change. Maybe a few other things if I can get some quality time with the 4runner.

 

Where you gonna be???

 

I’m lucky in that I just need to submit my time off request and go. My boss’s attitude is it’s your time to use and unless you hear from me consider it approved.

It’s nice to be treated like an adult. That said he also knows I’m not going to leave without sufficient preparation so that things go smoothly-ish when I’m out.

 

I just kinda... leave.

Mom's BF'S land near Durand. We'll be dismantling an old 5th wheel camper, and probably some fishing and kayaking. If it was closer I'd say stop by and check out the place. Or, if you're looking for a road trip.

I'll be going up again later in October, or maybe early November.

 

There is a spot just east of Mariden boat ramp that @pearing could camp for the night but you wouldn't probably get much more then 3 trucks out there ! Just stay out of the Bean's

There's plenty of room where I'm going. I'd have group trips there if it were my land.

Washed the truck and then promptly ran through not one, but two piles of dog sheet in the yard. For F's sake. Both sides. And with poke its everywhere... guess I'll go wash it again.



No... I usually mow it in, since I know your going to ask. I have not mowed recently as it has been raining some and play time takes precedence!

 

Too far. Plus I need to confirm the Bayfield route timing and such this weekend... Busy and fun!
