    anyone get this yet?

I want it, to hold Badlands jack
who knows if all that could work with a bed platform

I fear it may be too late for my truck bed for this though
it already has had other stiffeners, with other holes drilled to mount them, likely in other locations

otherwise might be nice to sell my ATHFab stiffeners (also good) to make the switch
I just don't know about the holes already there

I love seeing new ideas come out but would you get the use out of this? Bed space is already so limited in our trucks.

I actually like this a lot. It won’t appeal to everyone but to people who don’t want to run an external swingout it would be nice, not for a tire obviously but for a fold down table or similar setup it could be nice. They should add a flip up hard stop for the tailgate side to lock it open.

The compromise is definitely loss of bed space.

Why not orient the bed stiffeners the other way, brace it some, and make a similar swingout?

Looks like a really simple design.

Yeah, I was thinking the same when I saw it. I don't plan to carry a jack that I need access to that often like that but I could envision mounting other stuff to that. Just not sure I'd use it enough to warrant the extra hassle of having that in the way all the time when I need to load stuff. Digging the idea though, love seeing new stuff.

If I bought one I think I’d swap the bolts for heavy duty pins. Make it super easy to remove if needed

It seems like this would only work with an empty bed; anything in the bed would prevent this from swinging out.

Looks cool but I struggle to see the point? Takes up a lot of bed space in both directions to hold one, maybe two items. Looks considerably heavier, more expensive and complicated than other mounting options. Typically the purpose of a swing out is to give you more bed space, is it not? I’m a hard pass but I’m sure someone will buy it.

I always thought the purpose of a swingout is a place to mount things
at the drawback of a longer rear and worsened departure angle

    the internal swingout looks nice
But among other things I don’t know how it interacts with common bed mods

in my case I also had 2x6 supports, plywood bed (2 panels, removable) and large clear plastic containers to act as drawers - 3 of them. Push 2 in forwards, and slide the 3rd in outermost sideways. It was a snug fit.
I don’t know if Decked Drawers system (higher cost, not easily removable) is better
Either one likely would need changing to work with internal swingout not to mention a badlands jack mounted to it, intruding inward

or hopefully the jack could be positioned low enough to go underneath the bed platform without hitting directly into the plywood at the back

wish id have jumped on this when they were in presale for like $300 with the bed stiffners but at the original release they couldn't confirm any fitment on 2nd gen vs 3rd gen.

I can even knock out some stiffeners for ya

A 2nd Gen owner confirmed fitment of the two bottom bolts, I just didn't do anything 2nd/3rd Gen specific for vertical uprights

You gotta be dropping cliffs for a tire 4 ft off the ground to negatively effect your departure angle.

The rest of your post is exactly my point.

Like I said, I think this thing looks cool but is trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist for 95% of people and really will probably cause more problems and annoyances than it will solve.

You should buy one though I’d be interested to hear some real world experiences with it.

What @HighCountryTacoma said. If departure angle with a swingout is a concern you should probably be on the lookout for a dedicated rock rig.

Seems like a solution looking for a problem.

I would, you do great work. But I already have some ones that I bought a while ago and integrated a bunch of switches in.

is there a limit to how many times one can switch bed stiffeners

I had a tall set, maybe CaliRaised. Whichever has the most coverage. It ended up not letting another mod fit, so I switched to ATH Fab.
This caused the first problem; new holes, and old unused holes. Luckily they were kind of spaced apart.
So the bed isn't really stock anymore with untouched metal back there; there's some drilled holes hidden behind the ATH Fab.

This has let me get away with going to a second set (ATH).

I don't know if it's possible to switch to a third though... (internal swingout)
Looks like they offer a table now
and the dimensions appear they'd be compatible with a bed sleeping platform

Really what's appealing is the ability for it to be a nice mounting surface to hold fulltime Badlands Offroad Jack somewhat out of the way and secure...

maybe I just need to pray that if going this route the holes will again be separate and not line up to become a peanut shape
given the plastic tray of the bed, it'd be pretty difficult to get in there and weld fill plates to "fix" the past holes made.

tl;dr trying to figure out if realistically, bed stiffeners ever get switched
or if it's more permanent, one and done, single pair stays with the truck forever
if so, kinda sucky if a new better product comes out, being unable to switch over
