no pics.. but took it to work. drives really nice.. no sway bar is a bit boaty.. but im waiting on that to get painted... aligned it, charged the a/c and adjusted the headlights.. other than being literally open headers... its a REALLY nice driving 1998 tacoma, supercharger needs more fuel though.. she breaks up a little up top

 

Have you got a check valve for between the Vacuum Switching Valve and the intake so the VCV doesn't see boost?

I was going to suggest putting a guage in front of the shift lever but with a manual it looks like there's not enough room.

 

Got the suspension replaced and updated, OME all around, 1 1/2” front and 2 1/2” rear lift as advertised. 4runner wheels and 265/75/16 Firestone ATs.
Next round will be duro bumps, longer rear line, carrier drop, and BPV bracket, but shes doing fine for now.

found a handy trick for skipping the prybar route on the front shocks, and went super lazy and didnt even loosen the LCA alignment bolts, no problems noted.

 

I do not.. I didn't give that even two cents. I'll look into doing that.

That is a good spot! Definitely no room for that with a manual. may just do that kydex deal you got there on the steering column.

 

I'm confused whats going on here.. Did you use the jack to articulate down to pop your coil over out?

I can't seem to melt my rubber bushings out to get the duro bumps in They're out, but the side walls of the cup are fuckin gross and unclean.

I used a Dorman 47170 check valve on my EVAP VCV and my power steering idle up. They're like $4 at oriellys. The EVAP canister and power steering vacuum valve haven't exploded from spikes to 15psi so I'd say they work well enough haha.

Oh The little details I've missed up to this point.

My oil feed line has a slight leak. Idk what to do besides teflon that thread. It's tight as hell as is.

 

Check that post again, I posted another that is a little better quality you can also get you hands on.

What kind of feed are you using? My elbows from the pressure port and into the turbo are NPT to AN, the AN sides never leak but I had to use some Teflon sealing paste on the pipe thread side.

Can see the white bands of extra paste around the edges of each fitting.

Mine are NPT no AN. its at the turbo thats got a slight ooze. I'll teflon wrap the bitch to start. Next hardware store trip I'll buy that paste.

 

I cleaned mine with a wire brush on the drill. Got it super clean

 

Is the oil pressor sensor port filtered oil?

 

be sure to use the yellow Teflon rated for petrochemicals the white stuff dissolves in long term fuel/oil exposure

 

Yup, there's only one unfiltered oil port I know of and it is this one...

 

damn, that's pretty neat. I was going off of old tech knowledge and was curious.

I've been looking for a turbo feed on my 22R but the oil pressure sender is pre-filter. Probably just run an oil filter sandwich plate so I don't have to tap the block lol

Well, you mostly got it, its for install vs removal

I found it helpful for installing the longer lift strut, which requires pushing the LCA down to make room. its easier to push the whole affair down as opposed to trying to leverage it in from the bottom. It saves removing the LBJ and loosening the LCA adjustment bolts.

 

This concerned me, so called the kid I got truck from. He said it was a eco safe fluid he got when he did the brakes... Called LHM.

looked it up. It's a real thing. Eco weenie safe..... Wonder if thts why the pedal was a bit soft.

 

Bizarre.

 

It's a very odd choice because it's supposed to go in the hydraulic suspension for those little French cars
