Maybe it was the Colorado address and they hooked a brotha up.
They were being used to protect the glass, pretty neat marketing idea.

Happens on my F800GS every once in a while. I always feel like an idiot hah. Usually just 5-6, not sure I've had it happen 2-3, I can't imagine it's anywhere near the same transmission though, so not surprised it's different.

Yeah it's only when I'm accelerating hard, and not shifting assertively lol. Doesn't happen often but here we are lol. Good to know it's not a huge concern...definitely embarassing when you hear it rev up real quick and you know the surrounding motorists could hear it :anonymous:

Glad to hear you liked them, I'll post my thoughts once I get some miles on. Hoping it will last a bit longer than the ContiAttack it replaced, which was super grippy but wore very quick.

That's awesome you're planning a track day, honestly I think you'll do fine with the Road 6 starting out. Most street-oriented tires are still very capable and can handle novice/intermediate pace. My advice is to sign up for the training class if they offer one and ask for feedback from the coaches.

Regarding the false neutral I wouldn't be too concerned...happens on my 701 occasionally, usually between 5-6th and when not using the clutch. I chalk it up to me not being deliberate enough with the shift

If i remember correctly I had put about 5-6k miles on the Power 5's back when I had the XSR700 before I sold it. Was definitely wearing out a bit but still had another 1-2k in it i'd say based off the wear bars. Mostly commuting with some canyon carving...though I ride spiritedly always lol.

Yeah ultimately I'm sure my skill won't surpass the Road 6's capabilities since it's my first track visit lol. Definitely plenty capable in the canyons, I'm sure it'll only be better on a proper surface.

Good to know about the false neutral, so it's not just me and the few stories i've read on instagram/forums lol.

I think about any bike can do that. My Dyna has 5 gears and a neutral between each one if you don't shift like you mean it. I hit a false neutral in the Versys the first day i rode it.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Just throwing it out there. Ram, has their own version of mirrors now. Surprised it’s taken this long, being others are using some of their stuff.

Didn't know they made those, thanks for sharing. Very surprised it took them that long and good luck to double take. Has to be hard when someone comes in with a bigger name and makes essentially the exact same product.
